"I didn't know what happened to her act like that and went here." Yaling was confused as Shufen.
"Let her be. She'll wake up and be that cruel woman to me again."
Yaling wanted to tell Shufen that their Mother was not always like that. Their Mother was once a loving, kind, and gentle woman, but it changed in just a night. It happened too fast that even they could not think of anything. Even their dad changed into a cruel man, and their brother copied what they were doing. They acted wicked, wrong, and ruthless to anyone.
Yaling missed waking up one night when Shufen would cry, and their Mother was there to lull her to sleep. But she knows Shufen will not forgive them. They caused her too much pain to forgive them easily. What can she do? She cannot do anything but be there for them.
