Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: White lilies

the two girls face went white as sheet of paper. Chrystalya didn't reacted she just took a step away from him. Alexandrien smirked and left the room.

"Rose, Evangelin. I'm really happy to see that you two are safe. I was really worried." Chrystalya slowly raised her hands and held the girls hands. Her face didn't showed any expression but her voice was warm.

"We are so glad that Her Highness is safe." Rose looked at her with tear glittered eyes.

"Yes! We where so worried when we learned that they put My lady in prison. How could they do this to a lady?!" Evangelin puffed up her cheeks adorably as she crossed her arms.

"Now, now. Calm down both of you. We need to prepar for the ceremony." Chrystalya walked out of the door to the direction of her room. The guards followed her. Not like she would be foolish enough to try to escape right now.

"Are you really accepting this My lady?!" Evangelin stomped her feet as she stepped in front of Chrystalya angrily.

"Evangelin. I dare you to say another word. Know your place. He is the new emperor. One careless word can end you." Her voice was cold as ice and made even the guards froze.

"Yes My Lady... I will be carefull from now on." Evangelin lowered her head and stepped away from her way.

When they arived to her room the dress she will be wearing was already prepared. It was a simple dress from cheap materials. Chrystalya didn't cared much about it but it angered her two maids. The flustration within them only grew.

Within two hours the bride was ready. To ensure that she wouldn't escape her hands where tied together under the bonquet of white lilies.

Her hair was tied up and she was dressed in all white withy only a lily in her hair. Simple but breath taking.

A carriage awaited her in front of the palace. Then a short ride to the chourch.

Chrystalya had no idea how to feel. She didn't felt happy nor sad. She wasn't bothered by the fact that she had to marry a stranger since Alexandrien wasn't a stranger for her after all, but she didn't loved him either. It was weird. She was calm but nervous at the samd time.

The carriage stopped and she stepped out. A large crowd already gathered here to witness what kind of empire would born from a bloody emperor and a forced empress.

Chrystalya straightened her posture and walked to the church without a moment of hesitation. She knew that even if she where to yell or scream for help, no one would dare to lift a finger.

In front of the altair Alexandrien waited her. He looked at her then turned his gaze away.

Alexandrien was dressed in all white except for his cape and the crown that was the properity of the emperor for centuries now.

Chrystalya stepped next to him and the ceremony begun.
