"He choose me only because I was the crown princess." Chrystalya gave a quick and reasonable answear to prevent her maids from overthinking.
"Even so My Lady has a lots of sisters. He could had choosen any of them or even several but he still choose My Lady" Evangelin gently smiled at her. Maybe it was to give her some hope or it way to calm Chrystalya down, maybe Evangelin herself didn't quite know why she said those words.
"Its okay. I don't need lies. He will abandone me once he is bored. I don't need his love. I was only a tool to obtain the Pergrien von Theodore name." Chrystalya calmly washed the powder off of her face and then stepped into the bath.
'The smell of levander proves to reduce stress. I guess it's right' She wondered as she gently played with a little purple flower in her finger tips with a misty gaze.
Rose carefully washed her hair. The sisters where amazing in their jobs every since young age. They never did any mistakes serving Chrystalya.
When Chrystalya finished Evangelin dried her long silky hair while Rose prepared her a simple white nightgown.
When they finished she sat down on the enormus bed and rested her hands on her lap as she waited for her husband to come.
After waiting for like an enternity the door opened and a small streak of light fell on Chrystalya's face. Alexandrien was wearing a simple white nightgown too.
He sighed as he entered then his gaze fell on Chrystalya.
"Empress..." Alexandrien walked towards Chrystalya and then stopped right in front of her. He grabbed her chin and forcfully lifted it up and looked her in the eyes.
"Indeed you are as beautifull as the rumors says. But unfortunatelly for you I'm not interested in you even if you come to my bed begging every night." Alexandriens yet black hair slightly touched her face as that pair of cold blood red ruby like eyes isnpected her every inch as if he where to looking on mere bug.
"I.. wasn't planning on doing that either." Chrystalya bliked slowly and unbothered as she felt his hand slowly creeping down to her neck and gripped on it tightly. She only coffed a little.
"Maybe I should just kill you right now?" He pressed his forhead agains hers and slowly tightened the grip around her neck.
"Do as you wish Your Majesty" Chrystalya still fearlessly stared into his eyes.
"However, my death won't change anything." Chrystalya knew this verry well. Since her other nickname was the 'Caged Princess'.
She held no political nor military value. She way only a pretty decoration next to the emperor. Just like an antique vase.
"How unfortunate. I still need an empress. But it does not have to be you necesarly." Alexandrien snickered as he pusher his weight on her pinned her down to the bed. She could only let out a slight cough and a supprised 'ah'.
"And of course you are a beauty. What kind of fool would leave out an oppurtunity like this when there is a delicius meal right in front of them? And I'm not a fool to let this little domestic bunny run." He leaned in to kiss her but he couldn't get any reaction out of her.
