Leo woke up early, got dressed, and made him self breakfast. He made himself a basic bagel with cream cheese and slices of strawberries. He walked out of his apartment and began his walk to work. He casually walked down his usual way until suddenly a car pulled up beside him. Once the window rolled down, Leo had a big smile on his face, "Hi Ms.Amber!" Leo said while waving.
She smiled, "Hey, are you heading to work?", "Why don't I give you a ride? That way you can get there much faster."
Leo's face brightened, "Really!? Thank you Ms.Amber."
She unlocked the door and Leo got into the passengers seat. "Oh, I can't thank you enough for this. It really makes my morning easier." Leo thanked.
"Don't worry about it, it's the least I can do since you organized all of our files yesterday."
Ms.Amber put on music as she drove off to work. She parked in the designated employee section and the two walked into the building together. Ms.Amber took the elevator to her floor while Leo took it up to Mr.Coleman's office.
Leo gently knocked on the door before entering. He opened the door and said, "Hello, Mr.Coleman. Do you have anything for me to work on right now?"
Mr.Coleman looked at Leo and said, "No not right now. Just make a coffee and you can rest for the time being."
"Okay, I will." Leo said as he walked off. He made a trip to the break room and once he entered, he was greeted by the people inside. There was a man and two woman inside making themselves coffee.
One if the woman called him over, "Hello, you're the new employee Leo right?"
Leo smiled kindly and said, "Yes I am ma'am."
The two woman walked over. The other woman said, "Oh aren't you just so cute. Your eyes are so green and you're so petite." she pinched his cheeks.
One of the men chuckled and walked over, he placed his hand on the woman's shoulder and said, "Now, now, that isn't the way to teat a new employee."
She retracted her hands, "Oh, I'm sorry for doing that."
Leo grabbed his cheek, "It's fine, really. Though are any of you using the coffee maker right now?"
The man replied, "No, it's all yours."
"Thank you," Leo replied as he walked over. He grabbed what he needed and began brewing the coffee.
The woman who had greeted him and said, 'You have quite the reputation around here already."
Leo looked at her dumbfounded, "What do you mean?"
The man said, "Everyone knows how expertly you organised the CEO and the event department's papers and files."
"We even looked at it ourselves and we were pleasantly surprised," the woman chimed in.
Leo stuttered at the sudden applause, "O-oh ah, thank you." He laughed nervously.
Everyone gave him pats on the back and were talking about how much they would like him to work for them, before being interrupted by the beeping of the coffee maker. Leo excused himself, added the creamer, and was on his way. He walked back to the office and placed the coffee on Mr.Coleman's desk. He gladly took the coffee and took a sip.
After setting it down, Leo walked back to his desk and opened his laptop. He began to double check the records to make sure everything was the same. As he was double checking the records, Ms.Amber came into the room.
"Hey Coleman," she looked towards Leo and smiled, "Hi, Leo."
Leo smiled and waved. Ms.Amber continued to walk in as she said, "Can I borrow Leo again today?"
Mr.Coleman looked up at her, "What for?"
She gestured to Leo, "I want to introduce him to some other employees so they can be at least familiar with him."
Mr.Coleman straightened his papers before saying, "Sure, he can go."
Leo smiled as he got up. He was tired of double checking work and he wanted to get to know more of his coworkers. He walked over to Ms.Amber before turning and said, "Alright, well I'll be off for a while."
Mr.Coleman did a small wave goodbye at the two as they walked out of the office. They took the elevator down to the third floor and once they arrived, Leo was surprised since he only saw three people there. They were talking, laughing, and smiling. Once they saw Leo enter the room, all eyes were on him. The two woman and the man walked over.
"Oh so you're the infamous Leo Anderson we've all heard about." a woman with copper hair said as she walked over, "You can call me Mrs.Taylor, I'm the head of the business and finance department." The two shook hands.
"I'm Mr.Davis, and I'm the head of the equipment department." the man said.
"And I'm Mrs.Miller, the head of the publicity department." the other woman said.
He shook all of their hands, "Hello, my name is Leo."
Mrs.Taylor wrapped her arm around his neck and pulled him close, "Hey, can you come by my department and do some organizing for us? It would be great."
Mrs.Miller and Mr.Davis nodded as to imply they wanted the same thing. Leo laughed nervously and said, "Oh um, sure."
She exclaimed, "Alright! Thank you. We've been having problems with all departments in terms of organization which has caused complaints and lost of funds, but if everything is organized, then everything could run smoothly again."
Mr.Davis chimed in, "Yeah it would be nice to have no mix ups. That way we could have easy work days without confusion."
Leo put his hand on his chin and was deep in thought, before saying, "I'll do it, but I need access to all records in order to make sure that everyone has the same set system. I'll arrange a system as well as a digital guide to make it simple."
Everyone looked at him astonished. Ms.Amber laughed at him, "I guess there is something malicious behind those big green eyes."
Leo quickly retorted, "U-um I mean, um it would just make everything easier for me to make sure all the information is correct."
Ms.Amber laughed again, "Ah don't worry about it, we can give you that. You just need a specific password for each department, then you can get in without a problem."
"Oh thank you Ms.Amber." Leo said kindly.
"But still, I didn't expect you to show a malicious side, but I guess it goes to show that you can't trust everyone. Even one as innocent looking as you." Mrs.Taylor chuckled and said with a smile.
Leo laughed nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck.
Mrs.Taylor asked, "So will you come help us?"
Leo smiled, "Yup, but you have to check in with the CEO since technically I'm his personal assistant."
Ms.Amber smiled, "Then, lets all go tot the CEO's office."
The group took the elevator up to the sixth floor and walked over to the office. They entered the room and once they did, Mr.Coleman looked up from his work and said, "Leo, get me a cup of water from the break room."
Leo replied respectfully, "Okay Mr.Coleman," then left the room.
Ms.Amber stepped forward, "The heads of the finance, publicity, and equipment department, request Leo's assistance."
He glared, "Why?"
"They want his assistance with organization of all the records throughout the departments." she replied. 'Why did he glare like that?' she thought with confusion.
Mr.Coleman nodded and said, "Alright you may."
Ms.Amber nodded and closed her eyes. She reopened them, "Thank you sir."
As Leo walked out of the room he sighed with relief. 'I hate being the center of attention. It's just so suffocating sometimes.' he thought as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He walked over to the break room, grabbed the water, and went back.
Once he entered the room, he walked over to Mr.Coleman's desk and set the water down. He made direct eye contact with Leo and said, "You may go with them to help them."
His eyes pierced Leo and a sense of fear ran through him. He smiled nervously, "O-okay Mr.Coleman."
They all walked out of the room and were off to the third floor. Though Leo didn't know what was awaiting him.
