Yago and Arianna arrived at the city quite late. After hours of journey, they finally entered the South mansion gate before midnight. When the chauffeur opened the car door for Yago, he glanced at the woman silently leaning against his shoulder, fast asleep. He contemplated for a while if he should wake her up. She looks so adorable beside him that he can't bear to wake her up at all. Just when he was lifting her up to carry her in his arms, Arianna suddenly jolted awake and struggled from his arms. Her resistance startled him. Was she so guarded against him now?
"What are you doing?" she exclaimed. She brushed away his hands and quickly alighted from the car. She then waited for him to get out before going on with her scoldings. "Were you about to carry me just now?" she asked with her arms akimbo.
"I didn't want to wake you up." he reasoned. "I don't have impure motives."
"I don't care about your motives. But you should stop being careless! You know very well that you're injured. Do you want your wound to reopen? If I wake up in your arms to see your wound soak in blood, wouldn't I have nightmares every night in fright? Seriously. Be smarter, will you?", she berated him fiercely. She then turned around and left with hurried footsteps. Yago was left alone stunned. He stood rooted to the ground for a while before finally realizing just what happened and laughed at his own silliness. Although her words were sour, the meaning was sweet.

Knock! knock! knock!
Arianna waited for a while outside Yago's bedroom but no one answered. Was he still sleeping?
Although she went to bed quite late last night, Arianna still managed to wake up early the next morning. She was about to leave the house when she thought of checking on Yago first, but there was no response from inside the room even after a few more knocks.
Arianna thought of just leaving him alone but she couldn't bear to go without seeing him so she turned the door knob and quietly opened the door, afraid of disturbing the man in his slumber. She thought, she'll just check on him for a second and then leave immediately after. Unfortunately, there was no man slumbering. When she took a peek at his bed, it was empty.
Arianna turned around, ready to leave. She thought maybe Yago went out already, but then the bathroom door opened as she was about to go out. Yago came out from the shower with his hair still dripping wet. He was half naked with only a towel covering his lower half.
Arianna stared at him with furrowed brows. She then took a towel from a drawer and gestured for him to sit.
"Sit. Don't just stand there."
Yago raised his brows in amusement. His little wife visited him early in the morning. He wondered what she's up to. Nonetheless, Yago sat on the chair obediently and allowed Arianna to do what she wants. She first towel-dried his hair before taking out the hair blower from one of the drawers. She helped him blow-dry his hair before putting a new dressing to his wound on his chest. Every move was gentle, but her expression was cold like the usual. He watched her every move with awe. Such an amazing woman to have.
"You shouldn't soak your wound for a long time. Ask Heleina to put a new dressing immediately after it gets wet. You have to heal quickly." she reminded him as she works on his wound, her eyes avoiding his.
"What a great honor to be served by my great queen." he responded with a teasing smile.
Arianna smiled back but was still hesitant to meet his eyes. "Yes. I'm the queen, and I command you to stay here until I come back. Don't go anywhere, and always listen to Heleina."
Yago frowned when he heard her bidding. Why does he have to listen to that woman?
" I'm not a kid." he protested.
"You're not? Then be a man and stop complaining. I need to go now. Remember what I told you." after saying that, Arianna snatched a robe in his closet and tossed it to Yago. "Wear something. Don't let yourself catch a cold."
"You're no fun. You don't even get flustered looking at my naked body." Yago uttered.
Arianna just chuckled. "What's there to be flustered about? What's so good about your bony body? Let me tell you, Yago's body was more luscious than yours. A body like yours can't faze me at all." she then sneered at him before leaving.
Yago clenched his fists as the door closed with a bang! Did Arianna just mock his physique? Of course he became thinner after all the hardships he went through! His previously well built body was now a bit thinner than before. But to say his bony body won't be able to attract her at all, was she sending him a challenge? What a big blow to his pride!
Outside the door, Arianna was grinning. It's so fun to tease him. A life like this isn't bad at all. When she gets home later, she'll tease him some more.

"Did you find him?" a middle aged man in a black suit, sitting on a swivel chair facing the floor to ceiling window asked the subordinate behind him.
"We haven't President. Please give us more time." the man pleaded with a bow.
"Sure. I'm giving you until the end of this month. If you fail to find that dela Vega brat, none of you shall survive. I don't intend to keep failures by my side!" the man fiercely roared.
"Yes, President." he replied, and then quickly left. After the failed assassination attempt last time, they lost track of Vier dela Vega and it really angered their boss. They need to locate him soon if they still want to keep their lives.
"Dad, you called for me?" after the hunter left, a young man entered the office. He sat nonchalantly and sprawled his legs on the couch. He then fished out his phone to play with it. When the older man turned around and saw his son's attitude, his eyes darkened at once.
"Roy, when will you take my words seriously? I told you to stop fooling around and be more responsible. Stop following that b*tch and focus on business matters instead!" the man reprimanded the young one. But Roy didn't even spare him a glance as he scrolled through his phone.
"Dad, you're still very young. You don't need my help in running the company yet. Let me play some more, yes? I really want this woman. I won't rest until I get her." his son declared.
"Then do it fast! After I get rid of dela Vega, we will have more power in our hands. You can't still stay idle by then!" the middle aged man yelled. Roy didn't answer though. It was like he didn't hear anything. He just sneered in a bone-chilling way...
