The town is always packed to the brim with all manner of people, but from the busy streets and roads before me, it appears to be more packed than usual.
And I believe the reason for this is because of the upcoming Initiation event.
Therefore, the town will become more packed as the event drawls ever closer, as it brings in more and more people from all corners of the Walled City. Some attendees might have come from other Walled Cities for any number of reasons.
While there is no need to attend the Initiation event itself to become an Initiated Sorcerer, the chance of becoming one is far greater when attending the event than not.
And that is all thanks to those who are overseeing the event.
It is actually very difficult for anyone to gather all the mana within their body and form their Mana Sea by themselves let alone forming a sufficiently vast and deep Mana Sea.
Those that succeeded despite all odds are called geniuses or talented, and they will become powerful Sorcerers in the future without a doubt. If they lived long enough, that is.
Sorcerers of 3rd Layer or higher can help a person gather most if not all the mana within their body to form their Mana Sea, but it does cost a lot of magical power from the Sorcerers themselves. Far more than most people are willing to expend in a single day.
As such, people from all over the Walled City and beyond the event with everything that they have in exchange for a brighter future, but unfortunately, only a handful of people will be able to achieve their dream. Most will return home empty handed.
This is not because those aspiring Sorcerers lack potential. It is simply because there just aren't enough Sorcerers around to help everyone, and it is not exactly first comes first served. No. It helps to have a lot of connections or money or both.
While my family does not have the financial mean like other prominent families of the Walled City, we do have a lot of connections, and this alone is enough for Lucian to become an Initiated Sorcerer.
It is also enough for Alex to become an Initiated Sorcerer himself. But Alex does not need help in order to gather all the mana within his body and form his Mana Sea.
While Alex is not as powerful and knowledgeable as me as a Mage, he is still very powerful in his own right as well as extremely knowledgeable. Of course, he lacks resource, and that is something I will be able to help him with, for we have the same goal.
I am not interested in the Initiation event, as I have already formed my Mana Sea. Unfortunately, there are others who have become interested me simply because I have formed my Mana Sea. Furthermore, unlike other form of Magic, it is not possible to completely suppress or hide the fact that I have formed my Mana Sea.
Since that is the case, I decide not to suppress or hide the presence of my Mana Sea at all. Anyone can sense its presence, but they definitely cannot sense its depth and vastness without physically touching me.
But they will have to go through my guards to do so, and the guards are all Warriors. Even if the guards are not as powerful as Sorcerers, they can definitely be intimidating enough for many people.
