Chapter 190 - The Easiest Solution

I would have continued expanding my mind and knowledge for the next couple of days, but that would likely raise a lot of suspicion. Not that it has not already, considering that the first person who comes to get me is my older brother.

But not the older brother that I was expecting, however.

"Zan," Alex questions via the Intercom.

And I simply nod in response, as there are other people behind him. All of them are servants, but like Viola, they are not always his servants. The same goes for mine, as Serene is also there, and she looks like she is well rested and ready to go.

That is good, as I do like people who can understand my command even if their allegiance is to another person, but I think Serene is loyal to me. I am not 100% certain, and until I am certain she is, I will treat her as a potential leak.

"I like to speak to my brother Kilian alone," Alex tells everyone and tries to squeeze through the door to enter the booth. Good thing it is large enough for his fat ass, and once he is inside, the door closes behind him.

"So, Sorcerer Zan, huh?" Alex questions via the Intercom. "By the way, if you can use magic, cast some sort of silencing wards around the room."

I agree even though I am sure no one can eardrop on us if we are talking through the Intercom. Hacking the System is possible, but it requires almost godlike level of power, and it has to be very specific since the System has a lot of failsafe.

Since I have already formed my Mana Sea, I can drawl mana from there, and with the power to channel mana, I can erect wards around the room.

This is not Minasian Magic, as to use Minasian Magic, I will need to acquire some Spell Books.

"Cool," Alex comments. "So, are you up to date?"

"More or less," I answer, as Alex is referring to the state of things within the household. "Just curious, did someone blab?"

Alex shakes his head as he takes a seat. "Not quite, but I heard a certain Seventh Master was no longer bedridden. Since I know Kilian and his illness, I assume it must be your doing. Of course, I cannot really be sure it is you in there. And of course, there is Lucian. He demands to see Sorcerer Zan. Loudly too."

"Nice elder brother we have. How does that go?" I question, as it is exactly as I have predicted.

"As well as most cultivation novels go," Alex responses, causing me to chuckle. "The idiot runs off, but you know he will be back for more until I or you convert him to our side or kill him. I suggest the latter, as that will help me accomplish the Quest."

"The Quest. It is not revenge, isn't it?" I question, as that has slipped my mind. Not really, as it is always about revenge, at least from my experience. This is mainly because whoever Alex kills, his benefactor will gain something, most likely a Soul. But not always, as it depends on several things.

"You know it is," Alex responses. "Here. Have a look for yourself. Quest."

I read through the Quest Window before whistling. "Wow. Easier to just nuke the city. Faster too."
