Chapter 183 - Forming the Mana Sea

While I am unsure what the Initiation entails, I can certainly gather all the mana within my body myself, condensing and focusing them all to a single spot in order to manifest my Mana Sea.

And it is all thanks to my knowledges and experiences as a Mage. While magic may have many forms, there is only really one way to gather and condense mana. Even so, the process is extremely slow due to Minasian physiology.

But after a couple of hours or so, my Mana Sea begins to form.

It is just a small puddle at first, barely larger than my palm. However, it eventually grows into a sizable pond, as I gather more and more mana within my body. The pond then turns into a flowing lake before finally transforming into a raging ocean.

I immediately stabilize the Mana Sea to prevent any mana from leaking out of me, and once the Mana Sea calms somewhat, I continue to gather the rest of mana in my body, increasing its size and depth.

This is because once the Mana Sea stabilizes and calms completely, I will not be able to gather anymore mana into it, thus preventing me from increasing its size and depth further.

And it takes quite a long time to gather every last trace of mana within my body, and once I am certain all the mana has been gathered and absorbed into the Mana Sea, I stabilize the Mana Sea further until it is completely calm and undisturbed.

This means that my Mana Sea is complete, and I am somewhat disappointed at its size and depth and color. Just from the color alone, my mana is incredibly impure. So impure that it is almost pitch black.

Pure mana is completely clear, but it is actually impossible for someone to have pure mana. Well, not really impossible, but that person would not be natural.

Since my mana is pitch black, I have to consume high quality items like Manastone to purify it, turning it white eventually.

Items like Manastone cost a fortune, however, and I do wonder if I can substitute it with Mana Potions.

Mana Potions are made from Mana Crystals, and I have made some in order to supply my Magic Core with mana. Since I do not have a Magic Core within this new body, it should all go to the Mana Sea.

There is only one way to find out, and I consume a Mana Potion to check.

Sure, it is kind of reckless of me, but then again, Mana Potion is not exactly poisonous, as those without any magical power of any kind can consume it without any problem.

The moment that I consume the Mana Potion, my Mana Sea churns, forcing me to stabilize it, calming it once more. I notice that the color has changed slightly, becoming less dark. That is a good sign!

I repeat with another Mana Potion, finding the color of the Mana Sea brightens a little. And with that result, I continue to consume Mana Potion until my Mana Sea becomes grey in color and retains that color regardless of how many more Mana Potions I consume.

This is likely due to the quality of the Mana Potion, as I cannot purify the mana within any further than its current purity. Even so, this is a great success, considering that most people have spent their entire family fortune on purifying their Mana Sea.

Now, I only need to increase its size and depth. Sounds easy enough.
