Chapter 175 - Demonstration of Power

That is a lot of Masters, and I think Viola means Lucian is the first-born son of this House, and that also makes him the heir apparent if anything happens to the Lord, whoever he might be. Or maybe she? It is a possibility, considering from all the murals adoring along the hallways and corridors.

It could also be that the Lord really loves his women, as there is no familial resemblance between Evan and Lucian. Perhaps, they are born to different mothers. Possibly.

"You're a friend of that trash?" Lucian sneers. "Then you are no better than trash!"

Oh. Wow. What is this? Did I just somehow make a mortal enemy by association? And I wonder what would happen if I just crush him right here and now. Actually, I shouldn't until I understand the societal structure of this place.

But judging from Lucian's current overbearing disposition, I guess that real power isn't from wealth or prestige. Rather, it is from wielding actual powers – the powers of Magic. If that is the case, it is going to be very easy to deal with Lucian.

Or any Minasian for that matter. What a cliché.

"I am so sorry, Master Lucian, but I cannot understand the garbage that comes out of your mouth, so I suggest you go wash it for an hour or two," I advise, and that utterly stuns Lucian.

"M-master… Zan," Viola utters in fright. She immediately calls out: "First Master! Master Zan does not mean that!"

"What the fuck did you say, you piece of shit! I will kill you!" Lucian roars. His aura explodes violently, demonstrating the level of his Magical Power, and it isn't even of First Circle, but that is to be expected.

It must not have been that long since Lucian had succeeded in gathering all the mana within his body to materialize his Mana Sea, and from the density and strength of his aura, his Mana Sea is not exactly deep or vast. Nevertheless, he is still considered a future Sorcerer – just barely.

"Kill me? Please, Master Lucian, I am…" I reply while the Runic Stigma all over my body glows brightly, shrouding my form in an extremely dense and enormous aura. "… afraid you do not have the strength to do so."

Since my aura crushes his aura effortlessly, Lucian immediately drops his predisposition.

"You're a Sorcerer!?" Lucian utters in surprise.

I reach out my hand as flames swirl within my palm, causing him to be utterly terrified. To successfully materialize Mana Sea is one thing. To channel and manipulate the Magical Energy within is another.

"Please forgive me, Sorcerer Zan. I did not know," Lucian immediately kowtows, and from that alone, I dissipate the flames from my hand. My aura also dissipates, calming down Lucian and allowing others to breath normally.

If I have used some Spiritual Energy, the result would be much greater, as I doubt anyone on this world has the power or knowledge to wield Spiritual Energy. It is a world of magical nature, after all.

"You are forgiven, Master Lucian," I accept his apology, as there is no need to escalate. "I am an invited guest of your brother, and as such, I will not harm my host and the family of my host."

I turn my attention towards Viola. "Please, Viola. Take me to where I want to go."
