Good thing that Minasian looks a lot like Earthlings, at least on the outside. Inside, however, there are some major differences. For one, Minasian has two hearts, situated on the left and right of their chest.
And having two hearts do make them slightly stronger and more durable than humans, but of course, humans make up for it with something else, usually our intelligent. This is also due to us being heralded from Earth, a world of scientific nature.
Humans are quite logical and rational when compare to Minasian. When compare to most races born with innate ability to use Magical or Spiritual power, actually.
"Eh? Why? Just say that you are from another Walled City," Alex responses, expecting me to be aware of what he is talking about. I do not, as I have only heard about the Minasian in passing. But from the name, I can understand what he is talking about somewhat.
Even so, I like to understand the context. Just like Nessa, I hate the feeling of being in the dark.
"Walled City, Alex?" I question as I take note of the bookshelf along the walls. "I mean Evan. Actually, it is faster if you just show me the library."
Alex facepalms himself for not having thought of it. He then heads towards the door in order to show me the library. But at the door, he facepalms himself yet again and returns to the bedside.
"I forgot who I am," Alex comments before picking up the golden bell on the table to his side. He uses the bell to call whoever is standing guard outside of his room.
A woman enters shortly afterwards, and I try to not pay too much attention to her revealing and sexy attires, but that is only me since Alex stares directly at her huge chest, probably wondering what kind of sleezy bastard he was before.
"You call, Third Master?" the woman asks before noticing me. She is about to raise an alarm, but Alex beats her to it.
"This is Zan. He is a friend, and you should treat him as you would treat me," Alex tells her. "Now, can you attend to all his needs. He wants to see the library, to learn about our Walled City and its history."
"As you wish, Third Master," the woman responses and guides me out of the room. "Master Zan, I am Viola, but you can call me anything you wish. The Family Library is not far away, but you cannot enter the top floor even if you are a friend of the Third Master."
"I understand, Viola," I response and take note of the hallways and corridors. While the mansion itself is quite spacious and luxurious, it is not properly maintained. As a matter of fact, I note that there are not enough staffs. I mean actually staffs, as Viola is likely just a bedwarmer.
Or maybe that is just the fashion around here. Probably.
"May I ask how you manage to enter the Third Master's quarter without –
Viola stops and sidesteps against the wall and bows deeply at the approaching young man. He looks a lot like Alex, I mean Evan, so I can assume that it is one of the other Masters of the house. How many masters are there, exactly? And what does that title really mean? She also refers to me as a Master.
"Who is this dog that dares to block my path?" the young man demands, and I think I heard correctly.
"This is Master Zan, a friend of Third Master Evan, First Master Lucian," Viola answers.
