Chapter 167 - Preparing to Transmigrate

Earth and every world within the Sol System are classified as planets of scientific nature. As such, those who are native to Earth are blessed with innovative and logical mindset, allowing them to attain great heights through technological means.

I am talking about every sentient lifeform on Earth, not just humans even if we are the most dominant species on the planet – for now at least.

While it does appear that technology is inferior to the might of Magic and Spiritual Power, it is not the case. If one truly comprehended the true nature of Science, they will undoubtedly gain Psionic Power, and Psionic Power is no way inferior to Magic or Spiritual Power.

If anything, it is more useful than either Magic or Spiritual Power.

And if Earth is left alone for a few million years or so, staying true to its natural evolutionary course, it is possible that an Esper – a naturally born psychic being – will be born to humanity, ushering in a new Golden Age.

Unfortunately, due to the presence of magical energy, that bright future is no longer possible. It is not natural for a person to wield more than one type of Power. They can wield Magic or Psionic, not both, and for us to wield Magic, we must give up the chance of obtain Psionic Power.

But of course, there are exceptions. Like players for example.

Players are blessed by the System, and the System is the cultivation of everything that is possible. And therefore, it is up to the players to transcend beyond their natural limit, but it is not easy, considering that it takes me forever to obtain enough power to kill a Ruler.

I am not going to tread the same path again, not with all the knowledges I have managed to gather in the first time around.

With that knowledge, I know for a fact that in order to practice Magic properly, I must do so on worlds that are magical in nature, operating on fundamentally different universal law. Not only that, I require resources of those worlds to prevent the demise of the human race.

The same can be said for Spiritual Power.

It is just not possible to face Godly beings with just the people and resources of Earth, and it is foolish to do so, considering that the Rulers are an enemy of everyone, thus everyone should be fighting them together, not separately.

Once I have finished setting up the beds for everyone within the Subway Station, Alice helps me place my mother into one of them. She has never left my mother's side while I was gone, and I do appreciate that side of her very much. It brings back a lot of memories.

"Thank you, Alice. I can always count on you," I give her my appreciation before joining Alex in his little corner of the room. He looks like he is asleep, but in reality, he is meditating deeply.

Thomas eyes me like a hawk while his sister, Jessica, heals him with her healing skill. Skills granted by the System are more effective, but it does create a reliance on the System itself, and that is not always a good thing.

"Alex, come with me," I tell Alex. "We need to prepare a few more things before trying to transmigrate to another world. Hopefully one that can help us reach Second or Third Circle of Magic."
