Chapter 166 - Reinforcing the Reality

That statement was actually for someone else, and the resounding gunshot does not only send Sharon crashing backwards against the ground.

While I would like to enslave Sharon instead of killing her outright, she had made her choice, and I will respect her choice. Since I cannot enslave her mind, I can certainly enslave her body. In death, she will serve as a reminder for Natalie, who is utterly speechless at what she had just witnessed.

Natalie has seen much of her friends and co-workers transformed into something out of a nightmare, and she has seen countless people being torn apart and eaten by unimaginable monsters. Moreover, she has done her fair share of bloodshed. Yet, in spite of all that, what I have done terrified her.

In her eyes, if I am not a monster already, I should be one, and that is totally fine by me, as her opinion holds absolutely no weight in my mind. Why would it, for she is just one of my many slaves.

As long as Natalie does what she is told, then I will have no problem with her. I might even humor her sometimes too.

Once Sharon is dealt with, I send the handgun into my Inventory alongside with her corpse. I then pay attention to Stellar before taking out a soft and comfy bed out of my Inventory. Two actually. One for Stellar and one for her caretaker, and that person is certainly not Sharon.

With a simple levitation spell, Stellar is placed onto one of the beds. Warm lights fill the entire chamber as I did so, causing Natalie to be startled. Like everyone else before, she has no idea where those lights are coming from, and I do not need to explain anything to a slave.

"Natalie," I request her attention, and she gives me it immediately. "Care for this girl here. If anything happens to her, I will hold you solely responsible."

Natalie nods repeatedly. "Nothing will happen to her, I swear!"

"You do not need to know who she is," I continue speaking. "Just know that she is far more important than you are to me, but that is not absolute. If you do what I ask, I will treat you with respect. I do not need to tell you what happen if you defy me."

Natalie understands very clearly, at least, I hope she does. I would hate to lose another slave so soon.

I create a Trading Post within the center of the room and teach her how to use it. The Vendor will give her what she needs for a price, and I create an account for her to use. With an account, Natalie will be able to buy anything without needing to pay, at least not yet, anyway. It is more or less a loan account.

Once I am done with what I need to, I teleport back to the Subway Station. While I do have a bunch of slaves to deal with, I think they need to squirm a little bit more. It will do them good, especially those men belonging to Major. Soldiers are such a pain, and I wonder how the Major is doing.

"Alex," I call to him as I take out several beds for my mother and the others. "We will begin what had talked about soon, as time is wasting."

Alex shrugs at the suggestion before returning to his meditation. From his aura alone, he has certainly formed the first Magic Ring around his only Magic Core. That would make him the same rank as me.

He is currently strengthening his Magic Core and expanding its Magic Ring. While it is possible for Alex to reach the Second Circle within a relatively short amount of time, he refrains from doing so until he fully masters the First Circle of Magic. Furthermore, Earth is a terrible place to practice Magic.
