With their destructions, the countless memories sealed away within those doors flood the mindscape unrestrained, integrating and intermingling themselves into Alex's mind forcefully, making him scream out in utter anguish.
And his scream is loud enough to make me tense up. Woops. Not my intention, but –
"Fuck! You! Zan! I will! Fucking! Fucking kick! Kick your ass! For this! Fuck! My fucking! Head!"
Hearing Alex cursing me despite what is happening, there is a very good chance that he will be alright – a very good chance. And I honestly intended to integrate one sealed memory at a time.
I absolutely did not expect this to happen.
But what's done is done, and I believe that Alex should be able to handle it. He had handled far worse before, coming out on top. Unfortunately, that was his future self, and therefore, I am a bit worried. I should not, but I am.
I cannot do anything to help Alex, as this is his battle and his battle alone. I can, however, stand witness to his memories. It is the least I can do. For a friend.
Furthermore, I am also curious, as Alex had lived quite a colorful life despite all that he had lost in the end. At least more colorful than me before I too had lost everyone I have ever cared about. That path is travelled by many, as everyone loses everything in the end.
The kaleidoscope of memories eventually comes to an end, and the last memory I am able to witness is Alex looking at me. The past me.

"Just go, Zander, I am the right choice," Alex tells me with a smile. "I have nothing left. You still do."
With that, Alex turns away from myself to face the encroaching darkness alone. Within that darkness lies one of many servants of the Ruler of Death. Unfortunately, that is all I know.
As the darkness creeps ever closer, Alex raises his hand forwards and a bow manifests from within his Soul.
It is a Soul Weapon, and with it, Alex fires an arrow into the sky, and as if that was the signal, countless Shadows emerges from the obscuring darkness, charging towards him, but before they all could reach Alex, the sky trembles.
Unending beams of light fall from the heaven, exploding against the earth and ripping everything close by to pieces. The Rain of Destruction has begun.
And despite that, dozens of Shadows manage to reach Alex, forcing him to slay them with a dual blade of majestic glows. The blades dance under his swordsmanship, slashing through everything that tries to overcome him and get to the collapsing dimensional gate.
If one manages to reach the gate, it can force the gate to open once more, allowing Darkness to invade Eden – the last cradle of humanity.
Alex kills and kills and kills, but the Shadows are numberless, becoming ever stronger. Soon, his blades clash against a sword wielded by former comrade and lover. "Enri…"
