Chapter 95 - Instrumental to Casting Magic

And those foods are cooked via the Runic Furnace, as the magical array produces absolutely no waste heats or byproducts such as smokes and toxic fumes.

Some people might say that is a gross misuse of precious mana, but like I give a fuck about their shitty opinion. With all the powers and knowledge at my disposal, a little bit of luxury here and there is more than acceptable.

Plus, such luxury is widespread in a Magical and Technological society.

As I sate my hunger and thirst, I check the enchanted pendant to see how my mother is doing. Its glow remains as bright as ever, telling me that she is doing fine, at least physical. Mentally – probably not, as she is probably worried sick about me and more.

That cannot be helped, as everyone is in the same situation, being stuck here within the Life Zone for unknown amount of time. Those stuck in other Zones are similar, I suppose, but I am not too bothered about them.

Cannot save everyone, and that is a fact. And I am not even going to try since there are plenty of those who want to play heroes out there. I will let them have the glory.

I know that I should get to my mother as soon as possible since she is a major reason for my return to the past, but there are simply too many things I have to do first. I cannot protect anyone let alone my mother if I do not have the power to do so.

While I can probably survive almost anything due to my transcended Soul, but that does not really say much. Not really. And if I want to just survive alone, I can just stay put instead of wandering about and inevitably save others.

Most of those people are baggage, really. Still, baggage might have their use.

I finish my meal while trying to stop my Magical and Spiritual Auras from clashing with one another. If one was more powerful than the other, one would be suppressed. However, both are of equal power right now due to their Core being on the same tier.

If I let them be, their clashes will continue to damage my body, and I cannot allow that. Therefore, the only way to make them stop is to force them to fuse together, resulting in an aura with both Magical and Spiritual properties.

At my current level and experience, they might not fuse perfectly, but it is still better than having them constantly clashing with each other and harming me in the process.

Once I set up the Runic Forge, I spend the next hour fusing the two auras until they stop clashing with one another. It is not perfect, but I am running out of time, as it will be daylight soon.

After taking a short break to gather my breath and rest my mind, I begin to forge a Magic Tool. Not an enchanted one, but a magical one. There is a difference, as a Magic Tool allows me to cast spell without the help of the System, and I cannot create one without magic metal such as Mithril.

My Magic Tool is unconventional, as Staffs and the likes are stupid and unnecessary. If the Magic Tool can channel magic, it is a good tool. Its shape is unnecessary aside from the cool and awesome factor.

Also, I cannot create something complex with a simple Runic Forge. Better not try as it is just a waste of time and effort.
