And I am a bit fearful of tapping into my Soul, but I have to in order to gain access to Spiritual Energy, as there are no other methods available in any acceptable length of time.
Spiritual Energy goes by many names throughout the ages. Qi, Chi, Ki, Charka, Prana – just to name a few, and the term is dependent on which country.
It is also the basis of Cultivation, and that is most common in China during ancient times.
As for me, I simply call it SP, short for Spiritual Power or Spirit Points. This is in contrast to MP, Magical Power or Mana Points. Or HP, VP and PP, which are based on Health, Stamina and Psionic respectively.
I actually did not want to awaken my Spiritual Power just yet, at least not until I have reached level 10 Merchant or so. This is because I have not mastered my newly awakened Magical Power yet.
It is not a good thing to awaken several powers at once, as they do come in conflict with one another, making it all the more difficult to master any of them. As such, I prefer to put it off until later.
However, the chance encounter with Stellar forces my hand. While I can probably manipulate her with Magical Power, it is better to do so through Spiritual Power. Actually, it is best with Psionic Power, but I cannot awaken that at the moment.
Psionic Power is probably the strongest amongst all Life Energy, and it is the hardest to awaken. There is also a good chance that my brain will be fried without proper preparation. Preparation that I cannot do with the resources at my disposal.
Of all five possible powers to awaken, I only have awakened Magical Power, and it is not by my choice exactly. It was done by the Ruler of Life against my will, as a person with powerful Magical Power can forcefully awaken the Magical Power in another person.
The same can be done with Spiritual Power and so on, and that method is actually the most commonly used method. It is also the most dangerous method, for once the forced awakening started, the person has to either awaken or become insane.
It is not really that risky for me since the chance of success is almost a certainty. I say almost as there is a lot of things can go wrong during the awakening.
And while I do like to use the same dangerous method to awaken my Spiritual Power, I am lacking one critical component – someone with vast Spiritual Power.
Since there is no one like that around on Earth, I have to resort to an alternate method – tapping into my Soul. This method is the most dangerous for me, as my Soul is not exactly normal. It is fully matured and completely transcended due to me returning to the past.
It is like powering a toy car with a supernova. The toy car would be instantly vaporized, and I am talking about my body. But if I do it right, my body would be super charged amongst other benefits. Therefore, the risk is well worth it.
Of course, if I screw up and get myself blown up, I will still be fine as a spirit. Probably better than fine.
Before I awaken my Spiritual Power, I plaster numerous runes all over the floors and walls using Blood Essence derived from my blood. It should help increase the chance of success.
Once all the preparations are done, I begin to meditate, trying to tap into my Soul.
