Soulscape – the notional landscape of the Soul.
It takes an incredible huge amount of mental effort to enter here, and everything within is either white or black or black and white. Quite bizarre, and the deeper I travel into the Soulscape, the more bizarre everything will be.
Good thing that I do not need to, and it is also dangerous for me to do so, considering that my Soul is way beyond my ability to control and manipulate right now. Also, there are beings slumbering within my Soul that should not be awakened yet.
All I needed to do is stay put and materialize my Spiritual Body.
Once a Spiritual Body exists within the Soulscape, I will have a connection to my Soul, enabling me to channel the vast Spiritual Energy within, essentially awakening my Spiritual Power. This cannot really be considered as a true awakening, as I merely reconnect just one of the severed connections.
A true awakening would form a lot more connections with the Soulscape, and that is quite dangerous to me due to the nature of my Soul. More than one connection will probably burn my body out simply due to the influx of Spiritual Energy.
Forming a Spiritual Body is not that hard, as I have done plenty of times before. I can still hear that ass lecturing me about it, and I meant that in the nicest way possible.
"Zander, you idiot," she had shouted. "What part of reaching out with your mind and shaping spiritual energy around you into a familiar form do you not understand? You almost got killed within your own Soulscape!"
I will likely see her again, and our roles will probably be reversed. I will be the one teaching her about Spiritual Power if that the case. The student has become the master!
With an amused chuckle, my mind reaches out and takes control of some of the spiritual energies that linger around me. I begin to shape and condense them into a ball the size of my palm, and once I think it is the right size, I imprint my will upon it, and a Spiritual Body is formed.
There is no need to create a complex Spiritual Body, as a ball will do the job just fine. It is also far more difficult to imprint my will on a complex Spiritual Body. If I fail, it will backfire, creating a rogue Spiritual Body within my Soulscape.
And that is not a good thing.
I make sure that the newly created simplistic Spiritual Body is small enough to prevent an overflow of Spiritual Energy. I will have to test it once I leave the Soulscape – immediately right after I have a good look at the Hourglass.
The Hourglass is an Aspectual Artefact given to me by the Aspect of Time. It has the power to reverse time and undo everything amongst other things. I had wondered where it had gone the moment that I make use of it.
I have suspected it to be within my Soulscape, as my Soul is the only thing that traveled to the past. If I activate the Hourglass again, does it send me to the past once more? Probably not since the sands in the Hourglass is now on top chamber instead of bottom.
Sands continue to descend in the Hourglass, telling me something. Strange that I do not know what.
