Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: Worrying Premonitions.

Just two hours later, I was sitting on the private jet next to Alex, drinking champagne to calm my nerves. I was apprehensive. We would have to land in Fiji and Hawaii to refuel the plane, but this was not what worried me. I was wealthy and could pay a premium to have professionals deal with the flightpaths and permissions. What bothered me were my premonitions. I had tried to see different potential outcomes for Alex, and no matter what I did, my premonitions told me that Alex would die in the next few days. If I insisted on leaving him behind in Sydney, the unholy alliance of Templars, Mossad agents and World Bank operatives would murder him when they couldn't find me. If he came with me to Mexico, he would die on the dangerous journey ahead of us.

I grabbed Alex's hand tightly. He gave me a sympathetic look and spoke softly to me: "Are you worried about the flight?"

I nodded and replied quietly: "Yes, but that's not my main concern."

"So what is really bothering you?" Alex asked with a soft, soothing voice.

I was stuck in inner conflict. I didn't want to hide things from Alex anymore, but I just couldn't bring myself to tell him about his impending death. Eventually, I settled for an answer that wasn't a lie, but it wasn't my main concern either: "I am just so worried about my mother. Martin Al-Sham saw her from a distance, and he recognised her."

"Have you called her and told her about your concerns?" Alex asked.

"Yes, but she didn't pick up the phone, and I don't know what to do", I replied.

"I'll call Eric for you. He can visit your parent's place and take them somewhere safe for a while." Alex said confidently.

"Yes, please do," I replied.

Alex called Eric, and they agreed that Eric would visit my parent's place and urge them to go away for a couple of days. It was an unusual request, but my mother would know why, and they would comply. I felt slightly better but not relieved of my greatest woe: the knowledge of Alex's imminent death. I decided to do everything I could to keep him safe. I had suffered a lot after Simona's death, and she was just a stranger to me. Losing the love of my life would destroy me.

Alex seemed keen to change the subject and spoke to me. "So why are we going to Mexico, Sabina? Could we have gone somewhere else to achieve your goal?"

I decided to give Alex an honest answer and replied: "My powered Zeto Crystal has the power to unlock portals to another dimension. The portals are located four different pyramids. The Great Pyramid of Giza, The Great Pyramid of China, The Sunken Pyramid of Kiribati, and the Sun Pyramid in Mexico."

"Wait a second! I have never heard about the Sunken Pyramid of Kiribati?" Alex interrupted.

"That's because it hasn't been found yet. In our time it's located over 100 metres under sea level." I replied.

Alex acknowledged my answer with a nod but said nothing.

I continued my explanation: "The Great Pyramid of Giza is in Egypt, and that place is bound to be swarming with Mossad Agents and Templars when we get there. When it comes to China, the Australian government's bad relations with the Chinese government makes travelling there difficult. The Sunken Pyramid is found 100 metres below the sea level and is inaccessible. Our only choice, for now, is The Sun Pyramid in Mexico."

Alex looked at me in disbelief and seemed to keep an objection to himself. "What is it that you want to say, Alex?" I asked curiously.

"I am glad you asked," Alex replied.

I nodded, and Alex spoke again: "You believe that we are pursued by the Templars, the Mossad and the World Bank, right?"

"Yes, those are the ones I am certain of. But there might be others", I said with an afterthought.

"Well, the problem is that Mexico is swarming with World Bank operatives. The current Presa Del Muerto project in Mexico is one of the World Bank's largest projects.", Alex said with a worried voice.

This revelation shocked me, and I was angry with myself for not doing my due research. I realised that my high intelligence sometimes made me arrogant and blind. But what would I do? Stay somewhere in the Pacific a few days while waiting for a visa to China? Somehow get a submarine, find the Kiribati Pyramid, and activate the portal underwater while swimming in the dark abyss, 100 metres below the sea level?

I decided to stick with my plan and go to the Sun Pyramid in Mexico. For all I knew, The World Bank wasn't even aware of my existence. "I'll stick with my plan. We'll go to Mexico. I have already organised a tour guide there. We will be safe, pretending to be normal tourists." I stated.

"As you wish, darling. We better get some sleep. It's a long flight ahead of us." Alex said and closed his eyes.

I couldn't sleep though, as I saw gruesome images swirling in my head, every time I closed my eyes. Images of Alex's death kept showing up in my premonitions. Despite my promise to not hide things from Alex, I couldn't be honest, and I certainly hoped that my premonitions were wrong.
