Chapter 36 - 36. The Sports Festival

Days passed. Hours passed. Minutes passed. Seconds passed. Milliseconds passed.

It is now the day for the Sports Festival.

The day started with a parade, headed by the faculty, the sports club, then the six teams.

It is a joyous morning, with most of the students excited and happy.

After a short talk by the principal, the students had their short half-hour break.

While most of the students are excitedly preparing themselves, a certain someone is lazily sitting on a chair inside a classroom.

Jay hated how sweaty he was when they only walked for about a half-kilometer during their parade. Added to how hot the weather is, he felt like he will expire soon.

Sensing something, Jay raised his hand and caught a cold object.

It was a bottle of water.

"Thanks Bren."

"No problem. You look pitiful sitting here. Some events will start soon, so better come cheer for me", Bren smilingly said.

"Okay", Jay finished drinking half of the content of the water bottle.

Jay is feeling grateful for Bren. He didn't expect him to notice him and even bought water for him.

The sport games started and the school became more lively.

On the basketball court, two teams are playing. Bren's team and the other team are the first ones to play.

In the gymnasium, on the volleyball court, the crowd went noisy as a player did a spike and the ball went past the other party like a flash. That tall girl earned praises and cheers from her team.

On the oval track ground, six people can be seen running around fastly.

On the different playing grounds, many athletes and student are gathered, each student supporting their teammates and cheering for their idols.

Jay managed to find a nice spot for himself. But the only thing he could watch is the volleyball game of the girls.

Occasionally, he can see some things that most boys will drool upon: cleavages and white skins.

As he is watching the game, a person approached him.

"Hello there Jay", Crystal greeted him with a smile.

"Oh, hi. What's up Crystal", Jay felt weird being approached by a girl.

"Well, nothing. I'm just walking around and trying to watch some games that will pique my interest. How about you?"

"I'm bored. So I came here to watch the volleyball game."

"Oh." Crystal wasn't surprised. She knew. Guessing by how Jay is behaving from the first time she saw him, she thought that Jay is the type of person who just doesn't care. Not really actually.

Crystal sat besides Jay and focused her attention to the game.

Jay almost stood up. He was surprised. For Crystal to sit besides him, he doesn't know what people will think of them.

But upon seeing her focused on the game, he just let her be. They then watch the game together, ignoring everyone around them. The spot they are currently in was a spot that not many people will gather, but the place is a nice spot to specifically watch the volleyball play.

The day finished with most of the games done. This is just the first day. There are two more days for the sports festival.
