Graysen Andrei wakes up to a cold and empty space beside him. He prepares himself according to his morning routines from the past week. He gloomily comes out of the room. Athena is standing outside the door.
She calls, "Papa!" Athena pulls him to her room. She shows him the dresses Rosa gave her.
Graysen smiles at his daughter and gives her a quick hug. Athena waves her hand saying goodbye to her father until his back disappears from her sight. The Senator walks straight to the car waiting at the entrance. Paulus dutifully opens the door for him.
Rosa just arrives from her trip in Australia. Athena runs to her holding a broken alarm clock. She brightly greets, "Hello!"
Rosa bends and hugs the little girl. "I have something for you?"
"Dresses again?" Athena expectantly asks.
"Not only that." Rosa winks at the little girl. "But let me rest first."
When she comes in the bedroom, she sees a gown on top of the couch.
She receives a message from Andrei for her to take a good rest and accompany him at night to a social gathering.
Rosa did not give much thought to it.
Graysen awaits for Rosa's reply. Not receiving a response from her about half an hour, he tries calling her but she did not pick up.
He opts to call Madam Desta regarding the important party they have to attend.
Rosa feels the fatigue after coming back. More than the work itself, she was exhausted from all the traveling. She is about to snooze when she hears her phone's nonstop buzzing. Rosa picks up the call.
Madam Desta promptly talks, "Sorry, sweety if I disturbed your beauty sleep. See you at the party tonight."
"What party? Brie did not tell me anything," Rosa recollects.
"Oh, it's not Brie's turf so she does not know anything. But I'm bringing her, too. I'll pick you up at 1900 sharp. Bye." Desta ends the call at once before Rosa thinks of protesting.
Rosa puts the phone back on the side table, fluffs her pillow and goes back to sleep. She opens her eyes to a room radiating from the orange glow of the sun. She spots a glowing small form near the gown on the couch. She walks to the couch to confirm what it is.
She finds Athena sitting in the couch assembling the alarm clock she has been holding since morning. The little girl smiles as soon as she becomes aware that Rosa is standing in front of her.
"Are you waiting for me to wake up?" she asks the little girl.
Athena nods several times. Rosa sits beside her by dropping her body. Athena feels her body bounces a bit. She giggles. Rosa lazily stretches her whole body waiting for her drowsy brain to clear up.
She remembers her promise to Athena. She suddenly stands looking for her luggage. She unzips it and rummage for the dresses she picks for Athena and the chips she got from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the lotus nuts and the tribal fabric backpack she got from Ben Thanh market in Vietnam and the joey stuff doll she bought at the Melbourne airport. Her luggage becomes half empty once she manages to take out everything intended for Athena.
