Chapter 1 - Wishing

Pauline Park was busy reading the papers she needed to present to the board of directors for the upcoming album release of ASUS, a boy band group consisted of five members which topped all their songs on the music charts throughout whole South Korea and even on international music charts.

She sighed and massaged her temple. Being the CFO in LV Entertainment was a lot of pressure. No scratch that. More of a curse than a pressure. Everyone expected that the second release album would be a bomb than the first one and Yoon Shin Woo, the honorable CEO of LV Entertainment, was crazy enough to put everyone in an asylum of haze and chaos.

Damn him! It was the fifteenth time she cursed him on her mind. Pauline hoped that someone would grant her wish and Shin Woo would trip on his feet and fell on the ground so that he would wake up from his dream that everyone had gotten their nightmares from. But of course, it was a joke. Despite being nosy and arduous, Pauline adored him because of his love for his company and its employees. Shin Woo always took care and helped them, no wonder LV Entertainment was the top one entertainment agency in South Korea that every single dreamer who wanted to become an outstanding star on music industry.

Well, I forgive him for that.

Pauline jumped from her reverie as the intercom buzzed loudly on her desk table. She grabbed the cradle and pressed a button.

"Yes, Miss Ahn?"

"Ma'am, the board of directors are here. They already in the conference room waiting for you and Mr. Yoon for the meeting," she heard her secretary's voice on the other line.

"I'm on my way," she said as she put the cradle back to the intercom.

Pauline stood up and made her way to the conference room with her clipboard containing the materials she would use for the meeting. As she was walking, a paper fell from the clipboard and she stopped. She looked at it with curious eyes and picked it up with her fingers. Pauline tilted her head with furrowed eyes as she opened it. She quietly read the paper.

Dear Miss Pauline,

Your smile brightens like a sun in the morning and twinkling star in the night.

It melts my heart that I can hardly breathe.

How I wish I can look into your eyes and tell you how much I adore you.

Wishing,

Mr. Grim

Pauline parted her mouth, astounded. The paper on her hand dropped dramatically on the floor.
