Trinity Hospital
As Ellison returned to his office, he fell back into his chair feeling overwhelmed with Trishelle's words. Remembering the short amount of time he had reunited back with Trish, a smile painted his face which soon turned into obsessive, insane laughter. "She's exactly as I remembered her, she's perfect."
A knock sounded from the door and soon after a female employee entered the room. "Director Ellison, you're back. Who was that lady just now?" She inquired.
"April, come in." Ellison saw that his assistant had entered the room so he quickly adjusted his expression. "She's my best friend, Trish…Trishelle."
"Oh. That's Trishelle? I can see that you are very happy about it." April smiled but was cursing inside her heart.
April was upset that the woman that Ellison talked to her about all day was back. His love for Trishelle was no secret between them. Before, Trishelle was not around and April still stood a chance. But now…
April was frustrated. She had planned for so long to get closer to Ellison. Yet now, it was all for naught. Damn it! Why did that woman come back at a time like this? I need to quicken my pace!
Ellison laughed, showing his obvious happiness. "Yes! She's the best!"
"Help me gather all the shareholders for a meeting tomorrow morning, April." Ellison thought for a while and said.
"Yes, of course. Please remember that you have a meeting with the other senior doctors at 3 pm today." April reminded Ellison before proceeding out to continue with her work.
Ellison stood up and left his office. He walked towards the research center in the next building. He proceeded to the basement level which only he and a few researchers had access to. The entire level was a secret lab, designed to house human experiments. In the huge room at the front was the main laboratory while there were a few large rooms at the back.
Ellison walked into one of the rooms with 3 people being injected with blue liquid. He glanced at the researchers in the room and asked, "How is it going? Did anyone show any results?"
"No sir. In fact, one of our test subjects did not make it through stage 3." One of the researchers reported.
Ellison kicked the cabinet in front of him a couple of times in frustration and screamed, "ARGH! God damn it! Another one?!"
The bottles and tubes on the cabinet started falling and crashed onto the ground after Ellison's kick. The researchers at the side did not dare look at Ellison. If any of them were caught staring, Ellison would start throwing things at the person, and would even start attacking them. They had seen him attack someone who stared at him, too many times.
Ellison paused after a while, covering his eyes with his hand. A small chuckle was heard then it exploded into hysterical laughter. All the researchers in the room gulped and quickly exited the room.
After a while, Ellison calmed down and walked out of the room. "Keep an eye on them. Inform me immediately if there are any results." Ellison ordered as he made his way out of the underground lab.
Trinity Hospital, 6 pm
"Elli…" Trishelle called out to Ellison from inside of the car. She was picking him up from work to go for dinner together like they used to.
"Ah, Trish. Where are we heading to?" Ellison asked as he got into the car and the car drove off.
Trish didn't answer his question. She took out his wallet and opened it. Pointing to the photo, she asked. "Who is this?"
"Ah, that's April, my assistant," Ellison replied but was slightly confused. He felt that something was strange but couldn't put his finger to it.
"Oh? I didn't know you had a habit of keeping photos of your assistants in your wallet…" Trishelle said with her cold aura seeping out. She was getting more and more irritated by the fact that Ellison did not seem to care.
"My wallet? Why do you have my wallet?" Ellison asked and kept pondering about what was wrong. Why is that photo in my wallet? I don't remember having a photo like that. Ellison was in a state of confusion. How did Trish know I have this photo in my wallet? ...Oh shit… Ellison finally came to a realization.
Ellison quickly glanced over at Trishelle and happened to meet her eyes glancing sideways at him, emitting a deadly aura.
"Uh...I must have dropped it at the restaurant during lunch! Ellison laughed awkwardly as he tried to salvage the situation. "Uh… hey.. why is this photo here.." He quickly removed the photo from his wallet.
Watching Ellison remove the photo calmed Trishelle's anger a little. "Why do you always drop your wallet? What if you don't ever find it?" Trishelle started nagging at Ellison. He has always been careless, dropping or misplacing his items.
"It's fine. Nothing's important inside. The most important thing to me is right beside me." Ellison replied casually as he reached to hold Trishelle's hand.
