The whole room was silent for a minute before the shareholders went crazy. Baffled looks appeared on their faces. Nobody could believe what their boss said.
"What?!??," one of the men yelled in disbelief. "What do you mean a subsidiary?"
"Are you serious, Dr. Ellison?!"
"Who is this Imperial Dynasty? Are they even qualified to be our parent company?!"
"Ellison! How can you decide such an important matter on your own? You are not the sole shareholder in this company!" Brandon thumped the table in anger.
"Hmph! I didn't think you remembered the time when you selfishly transferred funds to your Neurology Department, Mr. Baxton." A man in his late thirties sitting across Brandon sneered.
"These are two separate issues! How can some funds be compared to the entire hospital?" Brandon retorted.
Ellison covered his eyes with his hand. "Haha… Hahaha… HAHAHAHAHAHA!" A soft chuckle escaped his lips, which exploded and turned into sinister laughter. This silenced the executives in the room.
"Don't misunderstand. I was just informing you." Ellison stood up and walked out of the room after he finished. April returned to her senses and ran after Ellison.
At Heavenly Fire building, Cielo's office.
"Cielo! Look at this!" Fuego ran into Cielo's office with a stack of newspapers.
Cielo took the newspapers and read the title, "Imperial Dynasty… This.. Is it her?!"
"It's her," Fuego confirmed.
"Trying to make a comeback? Get rid of her. Expose what happened previously." Cielo scoffed and instructed Fuego.
Fuego nodded, "Of course. That little incident is more than enough to get rid of her."
Soon enough, headlines and articles surfaced regarding Imperial Dynasty. 'Imperial Dynasty's fraud', 'Fraud case left Imperial bankrupt', 'Imperial Dynasty bankruptcy two years ago'. All covering how Imperial Dynasty was involved in a fraud case two years ago and was forced into bankruptcy.
Ellison was walking back to his office, and a notification pops up on his phone. Scrolling through the article, his heart raced. He ran back to his office and gathered all his documents of Trinity Hospital and called in the two major shareholders.
Trinity was divided between three shareholders while the rest were loose stocks. Ellison is the holder of 43% and two businessmen held 16% each, one of which was Brandon Baxton. Ellison bought 32% of shares from the two businessmen. They argued until they had no choice but to sell, they were outraged.
"You're making a huge mistake Mr. Kyle, a huge mistake." One of the businessmen spoke with his words laced with venom.
Ellison was determined to make Trishelle the sole owner of Trinity Hospital that he decided to personally meet her and give her the news. Ellison was almost to his car when April caught up to him.
"Dr. Ellison. Why are you doing this? The hospital is your life's work. Why are you giving that up?" April almost said why give it to that bitch but she didn't want to make him angry so she refrained.
"Who are you to question why I do what I do?" Ellison retorted.
April felt as though cold water was splashed on her by the way he looked at her. "I… I am just looking out for you." She grabbed onto his arms trying to get closer to him. "She doesn't know how to run a company, she disappeared for so long and she is even involved in-"
Ellison grabs her by her neck and squeezed it a little, "Choose your next words carefully if you want to live. Do not question me in the future. I will not hesitate if there is a next time." He let her go and left her wheezing trying to catch her breath as he sped off in his car.
April stood there for a while before she dug her nails into her palms and cursed, "Damn it! That b!tch! I need to get rid of her!"
Trishelle's office
"Fools." Trishelle smirked while holding the newspaper, "I won't fall that easily anymore."
Suddenly, the door slammed open and Ellison rushed in.
"Trish! Did you…" Ellison paused as he tried to catch his breath.
Trishelle got up and signaled Yume to get Ellison a drink.
Ellison gulped down the drink and took a deep breath before bombarding Trishelle with a stream of questions, "Are you alright? Did you see? How can they do this? This is too much! I'm gonna lodge a complaint right now!"
Ellison immediately stood up and was ready to rush out the door but was pushed back down by Trishelle. She caught his face with her hands and said, "Elli, calm down. I'm fine."
Ellison looked straight into Trishelle's eyes, with his hand over hers, and asked, "Really?"
With his intense stare, Trishelle felt her blood boil. Ellison hogged a surprised Trishelle. He inhaled her scent and found that she smelled like roses, he missed her so much that it hurt to breathe without her. "Elli, you're crushing me." Trishelle lies through her teeth because of the feelings she had for her friend, she wanted to ravish him but now was not the time to be having such feelings. She quickly released her hands from him and moved away.
Trishelle stood up and went to the door, without looking back at him, "Come with me." Ellison didn't ask any further questions, neither did he want to know, he would follow her to the depths of the ocean if she asked him to.
