Her heart stopped for a second before beating non-stop. Her eyes widen slightly and her whole body froze. His words slowly sank into her mind. His touch filled her whole body with warmth and dissolved her cold aura.
Trishelle slowly turned her head towards Ellison, "You...you…" She couldn't find the words to speak.
"What's the matter? You saved my life and helped me during my worst times. Why wouldn't you be my most important person?" Ellison asked as he turned his head towards Trishelle.
Trishelle started to feel her face heat up. She quickly removed her hand from Ellison, turned away and cleared her throat. "Ahem, let's go over to my place. I'll get Anthony to cook."
"Mhmm, okay." Ellison agreed.
Soon, the car drove up to a mansion and stopped. Both Trishelle and Ellison alighted the car and walked into the mansion. Trishelle's butler, Anthony greeted both of them at the door.
"Eldest Lady, Mister Ellison. Welcome home."
"Anthony, prepare grilled fish today. Also, open a bottle of wine." Trishelle instructed.
"Yes, milady."
Trishelle then invited Ellison over to the living room. Both walked towards the living room and sat beside each other on the sofa.
Trishelle sat quietly, not making a sound, took the glass of wine from Anthony and started swirling it before sipping.
The silence made Ellison nervous. He broke the silence asking Trishelle, "Well, so what happened in America? Did you meet anyone? What did you do there?" A series of questions came but no answer for a few minutes.
Trishelle glanced sideways at Ellison and answered bluntly, "Nothing much, a few, business." Only a few short answers and nothing more.
Ellison was speechless. He never knew the once happy girl would become so distant and detached, like in her own little world. He continued asking, "What are your plans now?"
"Revenge on Clear Sky." A short answer but held a lot of weight. Trishelle had been planning for revenge for two whole years now.
Ellison's eyebrows furrowed at the mention of Clear Sky. It was obvious he did not like Trishelle being associated with anything related to Clear Sky. He asked cautiously, "Trish, about Clear Sky… Do you really want to…."
"What? What about it?" Trishelle asked but before Ellison could reply, Trishelle assured him as if she knew what he was thinking. "Don't worry, Elli. Nothing will happen. I know what I am doing."
Ellison raised an eyebrow for a while before sighing, "Alright. Just be careful okay. If you ever want to stop, come look for me."
Trishelle smiled slightly, "Thanks, Elli. What about you?"
Before Ellison could say anything, Anthony called out. "Milady, Mister Ellison! Dinner is ready!"
Ellison smiled as he stood up and started walking to the dining hall, "I'll show you next time, Trish. I'm sure you will love it!"
"Oh? Is that so? Alright then." Trishelle was slightly intrigued.
After dinner, Ellison dismissed himself, "I have some important business to attend right now. Thank Anthony for me, dinner was fabulous as usual. See you soon, Trish."
"Mmm…," Trishelle signaled Anthony to get someone to call the chauffeur to send Ellison back.
Trishelle's phone rang immediately after Ellison left.
"Boss, the person you asked me to investigate is all clean. She went to a normal high school and graduated top of her cohort in medical school… It's just that.."
"What?"
"Well... she likes him…" A beep was heard as the caller quickly hung up the phone after speaking.
Trishelle's eyes flickered when she heard the three words but quickly returned to normal.
