Why does this guy get to live?
"What's wrong? You don't seem too happy to see me," Gray said. "Do I have something on my face?"
"You're about to have no face after I'm done with you." I said as I drew two blades out.
"What the!? Why do you have two blades!?" Xylvia asked, completely caught off guard.
I looked down at Wrath...then at Shana.
'KNOCK KNOCK!'
I woke up with a start.
"Come in." I said, drowsy from just getting woken up.
Shana opened the door. She was in a silky white nightgown. Her lime green hair swayed a little. I could see the sleepiness in her eyes.
"I want to ask you something," Shana said. "Can you let me come with you on your mission?"
I was taken aback by her sudden request.
"Why would you want that?" I asked.
"I don't think that I'll ever stop feeling guilty about what happened with my mother and you guys, so I want to help you in any way I can. Please Hiro..."
Shana ran right up to me with her arms open and pulled me to her. She held tightly as her tears fell onto the floor, guilt and sorrow completely overwhelming her.
"...let me be your blade." She said through her tears.
Present Day
"Oh, so that bitch's daughter wanted to be your blade," Gray said with a sharp grin afterwards. "How adorable!"
He suddenly started doing mini hops and clapped with his hands. This guy was the definition of a complete lunatic.
I turned to Aria.
"This guy is a Sin Aria," I said to her. "He know about my power, so would it be ok for me to use it?"
Aria have a hint of a smile.
"Permission granted." She said.
"HOLD UP," Gray shouted as he put a hand up. "I'm not here to fight, as shocking as that sounds, I'm here to talk."
...
"Huh?" We all said as question marks appeared above our heads.
"Oh boy, how far should I go back," Gray asked himself. "Oh! I got it! It all started back when Gleam's husband was killed-"
"What's are you playing at?" I screamed, completely pissed at his guy.
"Let me explain and you'll know the answer."
The way he responded completely shocked me. There was no hint of insanity or disgust in his voice. He responded in an incredibly calm and composed manner.
"Since you insisted so much, fine," I said. "But if it's just some sick joke, then I'll cut your limbs and burn your head on a stake."
Gray chuckled a little. It was a normal sarcastic chuckle.
"Very well then. It's a deal." He said.
