Chapter 71 - Underground Bunker

A strong blizzard suddenly reduced our vision to only a radius of about five feet.

"Just hang on to my hand," the man in fur said. "Be sure to hold onto each other's hands firmly."

The man in fur may be leading us somewhere that we had no knowledge of, but we honestly have no choice but to trust him in the situation that we're in.

"Hiro..."

I barely heard Xylvia softly whisper from behind me.

"What's up!" I shouted through the harsh wind.

"I don't think...can...go..."

All of a sudden, she lost her balance and fell down.

"XYLVIA!" I screamed, keeping a tight grip on her hand.

"The cold has gotten to her," the man said. "You're going to have to leave her. She'll just slow us down."

"NOT A CHANCE IN HELL!" I shouted at the man's face.

The man didn't faze from my aggression.

"I know that she's your friend, but we can't afford to lose any more of your friends because of one person."

"I'll carry her on my back if I have to," I argued. "HELL I WOULD CARRY MY ENTIRE PARTY THROUGH THIS STORM ON MY OWN IF I HAVE TO!!! They've saved me from losing every last bit of my being. Everyday, I always use that as a reminder to get stronger. But now...NOW IT'S MY TURN TO HELP THEM!!"

After I made my declaration, I lifted Xylvia up onto my back with one arm while keeping my other near the man in fur so that I didn't lose him.

"Leonna, grab my shirt!" I shouted behind me.

"Ok!"

After a few moments, I felt a hand tugging on the back of my shirt.

"Ok, lets get going!" I shouted to the man.

He looked at me for a brief moment, his eyes full of curiosity and confusion, then turned away and began leading us again.

After about five minutes of painful walking, the man in fur finally stopped in front of a flat surface that looked like it was made of black iron.

The man reached down and pulled on a handle that was sticking out and pulled it up towards him, revealing a downwards stairwell.

It was a bunker.

"Go ahead. It's safe." the man in fur said.

"Can you help Xylvia?" I asked the man.

"We have doctors. She'll be in good hands."

I decided to trust his word and descended down the staircase. My party followed, as well as the man who shut the door behind him.

The walls had tiny lights that stretched all the way down the staircase.

Christmas lights?

As we made our way down farther into the stairwell, I could see a big iron door where the end of the staircase met. The man in fur pushed his way in front of me in order to get to the door first.

BANG B-B-BANG BANG...BANG B-B-BANG BANG!

The man in fur knocked on the door in a catchy rhythm. A few moments later, the slider in the middle of the door slid open and revealed a pair of ocean blue eyes.

"Takusan no hito o mitsuketa." the man in fur said to the person on the other side.

"Muridayo..." a girl's voice said.

"What are they saying?" Leonna asked.

How the hell...?

"They're...speaking japanese," I said in complete shock. "The language that I spoke in my world."

"Could they be from your world as well?" Wrath asked.

"What are they saying?" Leona asked me.

"The man said 'I found people.' The girl said 'Impossible.'"

I know that Gleam said that the gods and demons would put people in different worlds for some kind of game, so were they transported here as well?

"Sorera o shinrai dekimasu ka?" the girl on the other side asked.

"Sore wa kekkōdesu. Karera wa watashitachi no yōdesu." the man in fur said.

The girl on the other side said nothing for a few moments, then all of a sudden the door made a few sounds then opened up.

"Anata wa anata ga tadashī koto o negaubekidesu. Baka." she said.

I chuckled a little at that last sentence. My party looked at me strangely.

The girl with blue eyes led us down even further to a cave that stretched for miles and miles. It was filled with many buildings and loads of people. The roof of the cave had blue crystals dangling and illuminating the entire underground town. The streets were packed with people walking about and doing there own things. Kids were playing at some local playground. Gardens filled with growing vegetables and pens filled with cows, pigs, and chickens were spread out in another area.

"This place...is something else." I said to myself.

"Ever since the great blizzard happened two hundred years ago, we've lived down here and grew our own civilization," the man in fur said. "We send some scouters like me every so often to find some survivors that were unfortunate enough to have to endure the harsh nature of this world. My name is Kagashi."

"Hajimemashite Kagashi-san (It's nice to meet you Kagashi)," I said in japanese. "Watashi wa Satomi Hiro desu (I'm Hiro Satomi)."

The girl with ocean blue eyes looked at me with pure shock.

"Watashi ga tadashikatta (I was right)." Kagashi said.

"So you're from my world," I said. "Who summoned you here?"

"Sora and I were summoned here many years ago by a self-proclaimed god named Kaen. He was a kind and selfless man at first, but then he-"

"Betrayed the entire world?" I said, finishing his own sentence.

"You too?"

I nodded.

"I see. I guess you also know about the war as well." Kagashi said.

"This whole war really has fucked us all up hasn't it," I said. "Why the hell do we have to suffer because of what the higher ups did?"

"One moment of happiness isn't without many moments of sadness," Kagashi said. "That's a saying that my father taught me when I was young. I think it fits well with our situation."

"I agree."

I glanced over at the girl with ocean blue eyes. As I got a better look at her, she had slick black hair, wore a black leather jacket with a grey long sleeve shirt and a pair of long grey pants.

"I'm guessing that she's Sora." I said to Kagashi.

"Yes," Kagashi said. "We never knew each other in the real world, but we became friends after Kaen summoned us."

"Do you happen to have some crazy weapon on you as well?"

"No, but why did you get summoned here if you were already in another world?"

"The gods summoned me and my party here. They want us to try and find the Seven Deadly Sins."

"Well, you won't have to be searching for very long," Kagashi said. "Because one of the sins is our leader."

Well that was easy.

"Seriously," Wrath said with a strange excitement. "He's your leader!?"

"Yes. He's been so kind to us for so long. He's even helped us in our battle against Kaen."

"Where can we meet him?" I asked.

"What are your intentions?" Kagashi asked.

"Knowing the gods, they'll, most likely, want us to kill them."

"And you're just going to do what they say?"

"Mmm...probably not. If anything, I'd rather be killing them."

Kagashi then suddenly took my hand then bowed his head down. I bowed as well.

"Then consider yourself a Savior." Kagashi said.

"Sure thi- wait...what?"
