Chapter 70 - Frozen Wastelands

The blinding light eventually dimmed out after we went through the portal and revealed a vast land of snow.

"Yikes! It's freezing!" Xylvia shouted, wrapping her arms around herself.

Xylvia was wearing a red shirt that showed of her stomach, a pair of wrinkly brown shorts, and sandals.

"Here, take my jacket." I said, wrapping my jacket around her shivering body.

"Th-Thanks." she said.

I was teleported to the last world wearing a black jacket, a grey long-sleeve shirt, and long black pants. I was no where near as cold as Xylvia was, but I was still freezing my ass off.

"As a soldier of the Army of Light, this freezing cold cannot penetrate my body of iron- Achoo!" Leonna started to preach an inspiring speech, but then let put a cute little sneeze.

"So much for that." Xylvia said with a chuckle.

"D-D-Don't laugh at me." Leonna said, covering her face.

"Achoo!"

Someone else behind us sneezed. We all turned to see Wrath holding what looked to be a small person inside his black trenchcoat.

"S-S-So c-cold..." the person said.

"Shana?" I asked.

"She transformed into a sword whenever the blast came at us because she was scared," Wrath said. "But when we teleported to the gods, I told her to stay in that form because the gods might've tried to do something to her. I just hope that my coat was enough to block the power that she emitted."

Shana was wearing only a white one-piece dress, so she definitely had to be freezing.

"What should we do Hiro?" Leonna asked.

"Why are you asking me?" I asked.

I still can't believe that after all the things that I've done, both Xylvia and Leonna still want to stay with me. I can't help but feel like I'm just holding them back sometimes. They could do so mich more if I wasn't around. They're more fit to lead people. All I can do is get people killed.

"Hey Hiro, get those thought out of your head." Wrath suddenly said, smacking me on the forehead.

"Ow!" I said rubbing the spot that he hit me.

"Seriously, why can't you just accept people's feelings?"

"Dad, why did you just smack Hiro in the head?" Xylvia asked.

"Because this kid is a complete idiot." Wrath said.

It's true. I'm always second-guessing myself and I can never do things on my own. I've always been controlled, and now it's happening again.

"Well, I'll agree with you on that." Wrath said.

"Agree with me on what?" I asked.

"That we're being controlled."

"How did you know that I was thinking about that?"

"I can still read you mind kid."

"THAT'S FUCKING CREEPY!!!"

I noticed Xylvia and Leonna looking at us like we we a couple of slapstick comedians. They both then started laughing.

I couldn't help but laugh to.

"You guys are way to good for me." I said to them.

"Why do you say that?" Leonna asked.

"Well... You know what, nevermind. I'm just glad that I have you two."

Both Xylvia and Leonna smiled.

Wrath is right. I am an idiot. I'm here self-pitying when I should be glad that I met these two. They saved me from despair after all.

"Hey, is that a person?" Leonna asked, pointing over at a figure walking towards us.

"HEY, WHOSE THERE!?" I shouted to the person.

The person appeared to be a little shorter than me. They had on what looked like a thick fur coat and pants made of leather and fur.

When the person came face to face with us, he gave us a friendly smile.

"Welcome to the Tundra Lands," the man said. "Please, follow me to my village."
