While Gorker was inside chasing Gargaschar, Rosch was outside fighting against several Hobgoblins to buy some time.
He killed one after another, cutting them through in one single slash. Now that he had some skills in magic his bone blades wouldn't dull that easily, either. He could go on a rampage much easier.
The other good thing was that he didn't have to watch his back. Behind him were some mangled bodies and the Hobgoblins didn't know how Rosch killed them without looking at them in the first place.
Rosch would cut his way forward and every attack to his blindside was destroyed instantly by Cathy. She shredded them with her water and darkness magical attacks. They didn't feel or sense anything at all. Not even the two Hobgoblin shamans in the back, who were attacking with fire and wind attacks.
"God they are so annoying and since when do we have Hobgoblin shamans? Something is definitely wrong. So many new Hobgoblins and now even new shamans appeared. The weirder thing was that it seemed the lighter skinned Hobgoblins were fighting the darker skinned Hobgoblins. Why are they killing each other by their skin tone? Are they from different tribes? Would Gargaschar let someone else in? Fuck, those unknown factors are sabotaging everything. ",Rosch thought to himself, trying to figure out what was going on. This fight inside the Goblin family factions is an unknown factor that could throw some of his plans off. All those Hobgoblins were still green, but you could see a huge difference in the shades of their green skin color.
Most of the Hobgoblins were still fighting each other, but more and more were paying attention to Roschar, who was like a killing Maschine sweeping through their ranks.
"This is really dangerous. Cathy won't be unnoticed forever. They will find out that someone else is attacking, since the wounds on the corpses are completely different. I can't buy time forever. What is Gorker doing there so long. He just has to kill Gargaschar and get Kulnara out of there. ", Rosch thought getting anxious about the situation they are in right now.
Rosch got attacked from every side, as he did a somersault cutting the one in front of him in half from his crotch up the his forehead.
As he was in the air upside down, he slashed with his left and right arm to the sides, decapitating two more Hobgoblins. And at the end he landed on top of the Hobgoblin that tried to attack him from behind with his bone blades extended from his legs, stomping the enemy into the ground.
He used this attack to get as much distance as possible.
"Fuck this. Why is it taking so, long did something happen? Maybe he got attacked. Or...", Rosch tried to think about the reasons Gorker is taking so long, as his eyes went huge.
"Shit. Are they fighting inside, too? How did Gargaschars enemies get inside? Why would Gargaschar stay outside? He isn't someone who would fight at the front. He would stay inside and wait. But if they fought inside, too it would make sense that he stayed at the door between the two enemy forces. Everything is going out of control. Fuck, I never would have thought that there are even more parties scheming. Randan, the Nightwalkers, the Hobgoblins and I. Fuck to many variables. I wanted to take over this place, but now I have to revaluate my plans and make sure that I don't get thrown out of the village or worse. ", Rosch still looked shocked, as he thought about the situation and turned around, dashing into the cave. The Hobgoblins outside didn't follow, as they didn't want to show their backs to their enemies.
And as Rosch guessed, inside Gargaschar's cave, the same chaotic fights were going on everywhere. To that he was shocked at how big the cave was. Gargaschar must have built it deeper and bigger in secret without anyone noticing.
"But where are those two now? I am only smelling blood.", Rosch thought, as he was running around aimlessly killing Hobgoblins and Goblins everywhere he went.
It felt like a maze, with all the turns he had taken for a while.
Rosch saw another group fighting, as he was ready to take another turn, but somehow they looked different. In this group every Hobgoblin had a lighter shade of green and they were attacking only one being. Rosch looked closer and got happier all of a sudden, because the lone being was Gorker.
He rushed forward cutting down the Hobgoblins that were staying at the rear end of the group. He wanted to start a massacre, but was noticed by Gorker.
"ROSCH. FAST, SOME GOT PASSED ME.", Gorker screamed, his eyes becoming redder and redder out of madness. Rosch didn't wait any second later as he pumped a ton of magical power into his legs, guessing that Kulnara must be in the back. The sudden boost expanded his calve muscles to the limit, which made him leap over the entire group before accelerating faster than an arrow. His speed was astonishing, as the others couldn't believe what just happened.
Two Hobgoblins were a meter away from the door, as they felt a deadly presence from behind. They wanted to turn around and see what was approaching them, but they couldn't even turn their heads 90 degrees back as two bone blades pierced their backs right through the heart and out of the chest. Rosch had so much force behind him that his hands went through the two Hobgoblins and his entire body followed, crashing into them, throwing all of them to the ground. The even slid on the ground hitting the bed at the end of the room.
Rosch suddenly stood up, his hands bloodied up to his shoulders and the two hearts sticking on his bone blades.
They were even beating for two or three seconds before stopping.
All that happened so fast that the fight in the back stopped and only the gazes at Roschar's bloodied hands were remaining.
Gorker on the other hand didn't get distracted at all. He knew how fast Rosch was in the many training fights they had, even though this time he was a bit faster. He instantly used his dual sword skills and decapitated 7 Hobgoblins before they realized what had happened.
The rest of the group jumped back. They were still 10 Hobgoblins, but it was two terrifying beings now, which they had to face. Even worse Gorker may be the strongest Hobgoblin out there.
"Gorker get back here.", Rosch said chillingly. Still giving of a killing aura to intimidate the Hobgoblins.
Gorker calmed down after seeing that his female would be save. He jumped back and ran towards Rosch. He wanted to thank Rosch, but hadn't the time to even say something, because Rosch continued.
"Cathy are you here?", Rosch suddenly said. "I hope I didn't lose her in that chaos. With all this blood around, I can't even detect the water magic in this area. It's leaking out everywhere, with all those different fluids around.", Rosch thought as he hoped she was somewhere around.
And it seemed she was. A very weak purring sound was made to indicate she was there, to be exactly, she was in the room behind them were Kulnara was.
Rosch smiled and looked towards Gorker.
" Cathy, I know that you hate carrying someone else, but you have to carry Kulnara out of this cave. We can't fight while protecting her. To that comes all three of us are to heavy for you. Even two would be critical. In those narrow paths you need to be extremely cautious and fast.
Gorker go bind Kulnara tightly onto Cathy. She will bring Kulnara to Silvana and Schajana. They will heal her. ", Rosch said sternly. It was a critical moment and even Cathy understood that. She didn't complain. Maybe if it was a male that she should carry instead the situation would be different, but a female seemed to be an exception in this situation.
Gorker looked shocked.
"Ch... Chief I would never allow such a thing, normally. B.... But thank you, just this once let me be selfish and after that my entire life belongs to you. The moment you say where I should die will be my grave.", Gorker told Rosch in an insecure tone at first, but became absolutely resolute at the end.
" Gorker, a moment before you called me Rosch. When we are alone from now on just call me that. We are family. ", Rosch said with a smile, emphasizing the word family.
Which brought a smile to Gorker as he bowed. It wasn't much of a gesture for Rosch, but for Gorker it seemed to be everything. He always thought he would die while attempting to get his revenge. All alone, probably never again feeling the warmth of a family. Now he was closer to his daughter and could see her everyday. Before he looked like a stalker, watching her from far away.
To that, Kulnara has now a higher chance of survival. His biggest concern was to get her out of here. He couldn't believe that everything seemed to be going so well.
Gorker ran back to the bed and started to prepare Kulnara for the ride on Cathy's back.
Rosch on the other hand suddenly rushed forward in an extremely fast way. He burned his magical power in such a fast way that it could become a problem later, but he had to finish the fight as fast as possible to make a passage for Cathy to sneak through.
Rosch appeared before the first Hobgoblin almost in two or three seconds. His legs were burning, as if his muscles were pumping twice the amount of blood through them than usual. The next burning sensation, Rosch started to feel, was in his left bicep. Roschar's left arm swung upwards so fastly that he cut through the Hobgoblin as if he was thin air. The cut was a clean diagonal cut from the hip to the shoulder.
Everyone just looked weirdly, because Rosch was to fast, but the moment the first Hobgoblin moved a huge amount of blood sprayed in all directions, covering them all. The upper part of the body slid down slowly and as it drooped on the ground every Hobgoblin at the back looked shocked. Rosch was gone, again.
He suddenly waved his body to the left and appeared five steps ahead in front of the next Hobgoblin.
Rosch mercilessly cut down the next one. He didn't stop and killed half of them so fast that a passage out of the room appeared.
Gorker was almost to slow in binding his female. That was how fast Rosch went through his enemies.
But as the passage opened and Cathy got invisible again, something seemed even weirder. Rosch stood with his back to the enemy not moving at all.
Gorker, who thought it was weird reacted extremely fast trying to attack the enemy.
While the enemy slowly started to realize something was of.
They, too moved towards Rosch. It was a quick event, but Gorker made it first appearing in front of Rosch, taking a hard blow to his left side. He didn't have time to calculate the distance, getting more damage than usual. He couldn't even counterattack.
Gorker took some steps back and bumped into Rosch, as he suddenly inhaled extremely. "Fuuuuuuuckkkkk. Goddammit that was close. That was dangerous. I almost stopped breathing.", Rosch said a bit scared. He tried to put much more magic into his muscles, but it seems to be a double edged sword. His muscles closed after using to much energy feeling as if he had fought for days, even his lungs and heart stopped for a moment, because of exhaustion.
Rosch felt his sour muscles, as he turned around, while talking, "Sorry, Gorker. This isn't time to use new skills that I always wanted to try out. Because of that you got hurt."
"It's okay Rosch. It was needed to get Kulnara out of here. Let's get out of here, too. If more enemies come, we will be fucked.", Gorker said chillingly, because now the hard part would come.
