After that day Adrian berated Violet, Violet stop cooping inside the room, she went back to Adrian's house. She stop crying, eat her three meals properly, go to school as usual and carry on with her daily life like nothing have happen. However, she lost all her cheerfulness and playfulness. She looks like she have recovered from sadness but she will often seat in the garden in a daze but she will not even let down a single drop of tear. "She should at least cry it out, holding it back like this will make her sick." auntie wang said anxiously to Adrian.
Adrian tries all way to cheer Violet up even if he used to hate doing those activity, bringing her out for a walk, doing her hobbies together, buying her favorite food, inviting her best friend, Gina Lin to accompany her and even go to the amusement park.
When Gina came, violet mood seems to liven up a little but she is still in her usual state, pretending as if nothing have happen. That day Adrian and Violet went to the amusement park, they took almost all the ride , Adrian even bought her Candy floss and drinks. That day, Violet seems to smile brighter than usual but her eyes still looks empty like she has been compressing all her feeling. At night after the firework show, Adrian sat down beside Violet at a bench. " If you want to cry, just cry it out, sometimes releasing it is better than holding it, I can lend you my shoulder" Adrian's said it with a warm tone, not too loud and cold but rather soft and warm. Violet lean against Adrian and tears start flowing down her eyes and Adrian sat beside her, allowing her to cry until all her tears dried up.
On their way back, Violet stopped Adrian and said " Thank you, brother Adrian. I am so glad to have a brother like you" Adrian did not give a reply but return a smile to her and continue walking.
Adrian felt happy but bitter at heart. 'Ah.. She thinks that everything i did for her is just an act of brotherly love.' Unknowingly, Adrian give his attention more to Violet than on himself. He start taking note of all Violet's feeling. When Violet fall sick, he would stay beside her, taking care of her, feed her porridge and feed her medicine. Adrian slowly discover that he have slowly fall in love with Violet and tries to hint her about his feeling to her but she have never pick up any clues.
'How can she be so slow, I have already make it so obvious, how can she be so oblivious..., must i resort to confessing my love to her?' Adrian thought to himself.
