My brother! This can't be. I have a brother?
"What are you talking about Eclipse!" I shout at her. She's taken back by it but sits back down next to me.
"After what happened with you having to leave when you were a child, your mother and father came here for a short while with another child. They found him on their way here from your old hut you all lived in. Years later when he was 18 your mother asked me to marry him. I did. He wanted me to change him so I did. But it didn't work out between us. I wanted to conquer the world with an army of vampires and he didn't. He was to kind hearted. So I broke it off with him." she huffs out finally.
"That doesn't tell me why you lied to me about my parents being alive and if we are supposed to be mates, why did you lie? Isn't there something that shows you are supposed to be mates? Some kind of sign or mark on us?" I talk to fast I feel slightly dizzy. Or maybe it's from this crazy news.
"I didn't tell you about your parents because I felt it didn't matter. They never asked me to mention it to you. Yes, you are supposed to have a mark somewhere on your body. And no I don't know if you do but I do know you are supposed to feel that connection. I know we are mates! I can feel it." She looks genuinely upset right now. But she is right. I can feel what she is talking about.
"What was your plan for me when I arrived here?" I ask.
She shifts uncomfortably next to me. That can't be good.
"Well, my plan with having your brother help me backfired so I thought I could use you, but you have to believe me when I say you've changed me. You took control and I fell so hard and so fast for you. You changed me. I can feel it inside me. My heart feels full for the first time in my life. You absolutely complete me my dear love." she give me a soft smile.
I dont know how to feel about all of this. I just get up and leave the room. I need to go hit something so the training room is perfect. After I'll pay a visit to Kyran and ask him to explain himself. As I make my way down the hall, my incredible hearing catches Eclipse crying softly. I've never heard her cry before. Not even any of the times I've beaten the shit out of her when we met. It tugs at my non beating heart. I try to tune it out and force myself to keep moving on.
-In the training area-
Ive been beating the shit out of this punching bag for about 2 hours now. My knuckles split every time I punch the bag but when I pull each fist away it quickly heals and it's a repeating cycle. I hear the elevator coming down suddenly. I can smell who it is. The doors open and I hear walking.
"Ash." I say, not looking at him
"Jessica, I wanted to speak with you if that is okay." He spoke in a soft tone.
"About" I spit out breathlessly still punching the bag
"I want you to know I had no idea about any of that. I thought your parents were dead." He must of listened in on the conversation Eclipse and I had. " I had no idea about Kyran either. I....I.." I stop him by turning around quickly and moving infront of him.
"Ash, I believe you. I know you would have told me this. Please don't worry. You are the only person I can truly trust." I pull him into the biggest hug I have ever given and he gives me one in return.
We stay like this for awhile and I pull back from him slightly and put my hands on his shoulders and stare into his eyes.
"Thank you." I say softly smiling at him.
"For what?" he says tilting his head slightly to the right
"For always being there. For trying to give me a good life. For everything." I pull him in and kiss him on the lips.
I don't know why I did that but it felt so right. The feeling I have in my stomach is insane. It feels like a thousand butterflies fighting to escape the clutch of my stomach. Woah.
I pull myself away and open my eyes in shock. Why did I do that!
"I....im uh uh sorry, I don't know why I did that. I think I was just caught up in the moment." I say shyly stepping back and holding my head down.
"No, it's okay." he says blushing.
We look at one another for a long moment.
"I'm going to talk to Kyran if you'd like to come with me." I say breaking the awkward silence. Ash looks at me and nods. "I want to shower first if that's okay. Meet me in my room in twenty." I look at him and he gives me one last smile before exiting the elevator.
-Ashers p.o.v-
It's been about 20 minutes now so I start making my way to Jessica's room.
I reach her door and knock twice. I listen and hear nothing. I open the door and close it when I walk in. I turn around and there she is, standing naked in front of the window looking out. I clear my throat and advert my eyes away from her focusing on the bed. I don't think she even heard me knock because I startle her when I cleared my throat. She tries to hide her body with her small hands and it doesn't work very well. I don't know why she cares now. She's been naked in front of me many times. Her naked body drives me insane. I want to devour her every time she's around me. I can't help the feelings I have for her but I know she doesn't feel the same. I know her and Eclipes are meant to be. I turn around so she doesn't need to hide herself.
"Uh I'll go get dressed." her voice sounds shakey. Why does she sound nervous? She goes to the closet and gets dressed. A few moments later she emerges from her giant closet and walks towards me. She is wearing this gorgeous red dress that is very tight around her upper half and it poofs out at the waist. It's almost looks like a ball gown. Her beautiful hair is pulled up onto a glamour bun. She looks at me then turns around and points to the zipper. I move my hands to the small of her back and take the zipper in my fingers and start tugging it upwards.
As I get it half way zipped something bright catches my eyes on the right side of her back. It's a mark that is glowing brightly. What the hell. I unzip her dress a little and move it slightly to the right to get a good look at it. It's in the shape of a wolf head.
"Jessica, there is something on your back glowing. It's in the shape of a wolfs head. What the hell is it." she moves away from me quickly and runs to the bathroom. I follow instinctively.
She gets infront of the mirror and takes the top part of her dress off and let's it hang at the waist. I can't help but stare. She's perfect. Her back is placed towards the mirror and she turns her head to the side to get a look. She takes a long while to stare at it and then turns her face forward and stares off. I let her think for awhile and suddenly she turns toward me.
"It must be my mark. The mark of mates. My mate must have one that matches!" She blurts out.
"Oh really? I've never seen such a thing. But then again I've never gotten to see a vampires mate mark before. Werewolves have them too." I say and show her mine. Mine is in the shape of a face that looks feminine with what looks like something dripping from the sides of each corner of the mouth.
We stare back and forth at each other's marks for a few more moments and we must of been thinking the same thing because we both slowly look up at each other and our mouths drop open.
"We're mates?!"
We both shout it out at the same time and step back from one another.
