I stared in shock at the form before me, yet the nurse and doctor did not react to his presence. Could they not see him?
"You're right, they can't see me. Only you can. Thanks to that snake, Apophis.. Of course, then again, I was the one that broke the seal." He flashed me a grin, his steps moving beside my bed, I stared at him, motionless. "Let's go for a walk, shall we?" He grabbed my arm and yanked me onto my feet. A pain slamming through my chest as I stumbled. He held my shoulders and smiled. "Can you stand, princess?"
"What...the..." I gasped, trying to figure out what just happened. The room looked different through the hazy field my pain gave me. It felt like my energy was being drained. I looked towards my bed, muffled voices and noises circling around the bed as the patient laid there motionless. Pyro let me lean onto him since my strength was very thin. My eyes straining to look at my body that had collapsed. The nurses and doctor racing around to check my vitals. Their muffled voices unable to penetrate the hazy field. Pyro held me close to him as he walked me to the door, my feet carrying me lazily as the world continued to spin.
"Look there, princess." I slowly looked up to where Pyro was looking at and saw the back of the little girl. "Isn't that the little girl you were talking to?" He asked, his eyes bright with amusement.
"Y..yes..?" I stuttered, my body collapsing down on me. I tried to sink to my knees by Pyro held me by the waist to keep me standing. "What....did you do....to me..?" I mumbled slowly, my mind growing foggy.
"Oh, you know... Just pulled your mind out of your body so I can show you what you gave compassion to.." He said casually, he smiled at me, chuckling at my confusion. "Well, dear? What do you think? Why don't you go—" he shoved me towards the figure, my body stumbling then falling onto the cold hall floor. "—say hello?"
I weakly looked up at the little girls body that stood 5 yards away from me. "Di..Diana..?"
The small figure slowly turned towards me, my eyes widening and my breathing coming short. She was disfigured again, her mouth dripping saliva onto the hall floor as a long purple tongue ran along the long pointed teeth that adjourned her draping jaw. Her breathing was heavy as she took slow steps towards me. I couldn't help but scream and scramble back. Images of the monster I encountered before flashing into my mind. The searing pain that was once in my leg now thriving throughout my whole body. The beady eyes clawing their way into my memories as the figure charged.
I jolted awake, my body struggling against the restraints around my wrists and ankles. "What the hell...??" I grumbled. My body aching and shivering against the cold. "H...Hello?" I called, my eyes staring through the darkness into the hospital hallway. It was different from before though. This place was darker. Colder. And it was far more barren than the last hospital room. "Hello? Where....Where am I?"
I looked around, the metal framed bed was aligned with the center of the room, but the headrest remained pushed against the wall. Pulling against the leather straps, I leaned over the side of the bed as much as possible and frowned at the bolts. The bed was bolted down onto a smooth concrete floor. The walls not looking much different than the plain brown-grey floor. My eyes zoomed in onto the door that was off to my left. It was a metal door. Fully opened to the outside hallway. The only light was the glowing red exit sign at the end of the hallway. The only other piece of furniture was a small wardrobe. It was painted white, but a few chips of paint showed the oak brown color it naturally was.
A loud click and a squeak rang down the hall, heavy and slow footsteps soon marching down the hall as the door slammed shut behind the visitor. A dark figure paused outside my room, the figure was big and bulky. I could feel their eyes running over my body as I opened my mouth to speak. "Where am I? Who are you??" The anxiety was clearly heard in my voice, and a dark chuckle made that sudden paranoia worse. The figured continued on its way, the footsteps fading quickly as I laid still.
I waited quietly for any other noises, but everything was silent once again. But still, I couldn't bare to close my eyes. Especially knowing that that figure was lurking around. I anxiously shivered and waited, desperately fighting off the drowsiness that was threatening to overtake me.
But it was definitely a battle I couldn't win.
I was soon submerged in the sleepy darkness.
