A slow beating sound soon pierced the darkness, thu-thump. Thu-thump.
Was it a heart beat?
Pyro came to mind suddenly, when he plunged his hand into me—my heart.
He said he would keep it..
He has my....
Heart?
I slowly felt my body coming back to me, the sluggish feeling settling as I looked at the bulky figure that stood next to me. He had hospital scrubs on, and a surgical mask. The blinding light he clicked on made me wince. The sudden cold touch of his gloved hand on my abdomen made me jump slightly. I tried to lift my head, but..I couldn't. Confusion and fear ran on a rampage in my veins.
The pain was a dull sting at first, but quickly became unbearable. The pain started above my belly button, then slid up my body till it reached my ribcage. I tried to scream. The feeling of drips of some liquid slowly sliding down along my waist. A sickening smell of blood making me want to wail. Darkness crept from the edges of my eyes. Its black fingers wrapping around my eyes. It was dark. Black darkness. And pain. So...much..pain..
I can't take it.
I can't.
It hurts.
It...HURTS.
It...HURTS!

"Do you want it to stop?" It was soothing almost, making me desperate.
"Yes!" I screamed.
"If you do this, you'll never be human again." I sobbed as I saw two glowing purple eyes look at me.
"I don't care! Just make it stop!" I dropped to my knees, the tears falling quickly.
"Open your eyes." The voice whispered softly, the pain suddenly vanishing as i felt my body relax under a warm blanket.
I slowly cracked my eyes open, my vision blurry as i blinked. It was the hospital. Was it....all a dream?
I started to run my left hand through my hair, but the black ink caught my eye. A mark rested on the inner side of my wrist. A chill sweeping through the room.
..I don't have any tattoos....
