After defeating the wild pig, Jason was surprised to get a notification and a stat screen to open up. suddenly a third notification popped open.
[ Starting today things as you know it will change, everyone is given stats and will start at lvl 1, Everytime you die you lose a lvl. Exp and gold will be rewarded for killing monsters and other jobs. Dungeons will appear in the up coming months. This new world is full of evolution and seeking perfection, let's see how far you can make it.]
After reading the notification everyone across the globe was filled with fear as monsters started to appear more often, right now they were weak because they were just starting off as well.
When Jason looked at his stat menu his eyes lit up. "Since I'm level 2 does that mean I have a second life? I don't think I want to find that out just yet."
Albert, Johnathan and Kasey all walked up to Jason as he was still laying on the ground with a bleeding leg. Upon further inspection they found out that the wound on his leg was already starting to heal.
"Well I say we should call it for today, meet back here tomorrow, unless something comes up." Albert informs everyone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later that night Jason was looking through the different types of menu's available. Stat menu, skill menu, job class menu, inventory, friends, guild, party.
"It looks like your average game menu, but there's more on the line this time, I can't afford to mess up." Jason says as he cracks his knuckles and neck. once finished looking at the new information he walks outside to see if he can find anything else out.
As Jason walks down the road from his house, he notices a new building that wasn't there yesterday, the only thing is said was "Store" in big blue letters. After a minute of thinking Jason decides to walk in and see what they have. "I mean if it is like a game then they should have your basic items and even buy your current items. Plus I might even be able to find out more about the changes to the world."
Ding... Ding...
A bell sounds as the door opens and closes. The second the doorbell rings, a short, fat man walks out from the back. Following the fat man is a shy looking girl dressed as a maid.
"Why hello, this is a wonderful surprise. I never expected someone to come to my store the same day it arrived." The fat man says with a smile. "I expected that it would take a week before most of the idiots in the world figured out the basics, everyone needs a store for weapons and armor."
The more Jason heard the man talk the more disgusted he got. Sadly Jason forced himself to stay because he needed information and equipment, plus if he heard of a second store, that might be better than coming to this one. "Well let's take a look around to see what you have that might interest me for a later date." Jason told the man, trying to find something good.
"I'm sorry but I have a prior engagement to get to, but my assistant can show you around." The salesman says arrogantly "Alexis, show this man anything he is looking for." The short man abruptly leaves after giving his command.
Alexis leads the way through the store "On the first floor is where you can buy and sell basic herbs and materials." She then points to a small diagram of the building. "The second floor is our armory, just as the name suggests, the store blacksmith works to make weapons and armor." Alexis pauses to catch her breath. "The sorceress is in charge of the third floor, she sells magic books, scrolls, and different magic items. She will also teach any kind of magic for a price." Alexis then points to the top floor on the diagram.
"This is the 4th floor and sells different types of pets for adventures. These pets range from basic dogs and cats all the way to ancient dinosaurs and even mythical creatures. That is my department, and also the floor that the boss is on." Alexis finally finishes explaining everything to Jason before walking to the vending machine to get a water.
"The top two floors are more than likely out of my price range at the moment, I should probably stick to the first two floors for now." Jason says to himself out loud. "Hey Alexis what all can I get for 10 gold at the moment."
The maid throws away her bottle of water before walking to the back of store and up the staircase. Once on the second floor she points to the back room where a large dark skinned male is hammering away at a piece of hot metal.
"Go talk to Adelram, he is the one to ask, because I don't know anything about his trade of work." Alexis says before walking away.
Jason walks into the back room and waits for Adelram to finish his piece of equipment. After several moments the ringing sound from the metal stops and a large figure is standing in front of Jason.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, I was finishing my last piece of beginner equipment, I figure here soon many people are going to need a set." Adelram says leaning back against the wall "So what can I help you with today?"
"I'm looking for prices on basic weapons and then armor. Right now I'm tight on gold because everything just happened, But I just need a basic sword to start out." Jason says without trying to haggle for a discount, he knows from experience that can be a bad idea for a first time purchase.
Adelram looks around the room and finds a few level 1 weapons that were poorly made when he first started. "I could part with them for 10 gold since you are the first customer." He says while laying a basic iron sword on the counter.
Jason picks up the sword to get a feel for the weight, it is surprisingly light but more than enough. "I'll take it, and as long as everything goes well, I will be back for some armor." Jason then lays the 10 gold coins on the table before walking out of the store.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After about 20 minutes of walking, Jason is in the woods behind his house setting up traps to draw in a wild boar or two. He hopes he might even attract a different kind of creature, but who knows how this world has changed so far.
Another couple minutes of waiting and there's some rustling in the bushes on the other side of the clearing, out steps a boar with long tusks and a large scar on the left side of it's body. This boar has grown at an exponential rate and now stands 5 foot tall.
As the boar gets closer Jason draws his sword, waiting for the right time to attack. The oversized boar is clumsy when it's not charging as it has not gotten use to it's bigger body, as Jason is looking at the creature he sees a level marker above it's head and it reads lvl 3. Jason is now on the back left side of the boar when he decides to unleash his attack, with a burst of speed he runs towards the boar.
With a single slice from his blade, Jason makes a large gash in the back end of the boar. The boar's health bar drops by an 8th, making a smile appear on Jason's face. "This might be easier than I thought, but I wouldn't stand much of a chance without this weapon."
Two more strikes from the sword and the boars health turns yellow, causing the boar to become enraged, it starts kicking and swinging it's tusks around. One tusk grazes the left side of Jason's torso, causing a small amount of pain.

Almost immediately Jason thrusts the sword into the boar's shoulder, making the boar face-plant to the ground and fall on top of Jason, crushing his legs and rolling around.

Jason's health starts dropping faster so in a panic he pulls the sword out of the pigs shoulder and slices the boars jugular in half, as Jason watches both health bars drop, he just hopes the boars will disepate first. Just as Jason was thinking he was a dead man, the boar disappeared once it's health dropped to zero
