"The master in now entering the dining room!"
Suddenly the door opened and Liam felt nervous. He was nervous at the thought of asking his father if an adoption can occur for the cheeky child Damien.
Ronald sat down and looked in indifference. He waited for the maids to place all the foods before starting to eat. He had a systematic diet only eating what was said to him by the doctore as he is old enough for him to keep himself healthy.
"So, what do you want to do with the little kid you found in the streets in the city?"
He asked while munching the food in his mouth. He picked out the greasy and oily foods and only ate less oily foods.
"Father can I ask you for a favor. I need your help."
"What kind of help it is that you want? Don't tell me you want me to adopt that child. If so, then I refuse. I won't have any kind of benefit of having another kid to nurture. You know that as you're old enough and smart enough."
His father directly rejected his request even though he still has not said anything yet to him. However, this means that his fayher already realized his intentions and is worried about taking another child as he is very busy and can't even meet him from time to time. He didn't not even made time for a father and son bonding after he was born because of the grief that took him by his wife dying in giving birth to this son.
He unconsciously generated a kind of hatred to his son. He even avoids him everyday from his childhood and left him to be taken care of by the maids. He had countless nannies assigned so he would be out of his sight.
So, with Liam asking for a favour, he did not act like he was someone like his family. He talked indifferently because he did not want to talk to Liam at the slightest.
"Yes father, I wanted you to adopt him legally to be my new brother. This will be the only favor I will ever ask of you. Please let me have this favour. I promise to you that he will not be a burden for you. I will take care of him personally."
Liam begged his father to do his request. He knew that he had a slight chance but he took the opportunity. He really didn't want to ask his father however he was still a teenager and he culd not adopt a kid.
Ronald thought for a long time during the meal and he made a decision right after drinking. He looked at Liam for the first time in a while and stared at him before placing down the glass.
"I am willing to do your request however you must do something for me. If you can't do something for me. Then you will owe me. Do you agree to my decision, Liam?"
"Yes Father. Whatever you say. But regarding the condition. What should I do for you to accept my foolish request?"
"Manage our company for 6 months and I will do as you ask. During those six months, you must decrease the rate of loss of our company in every aspect and industry it is connected."
" You will train for six months at the same time you do school. And you will be away for that little child you got from the streets so you can focus."
" I will tell the maids to prepare him his own room and all the other things necessary for him to live in here. Even a tutor and toys if needed if he is not up to my standards. "
" Of course Father. I will not tolerate any failures in my part and make sure to avhieve success. "
" After you're done eating, then leave us two alone. I want to know about this little devil a bit. What are you looking at! Now go!"
Ronald shouted to Liam when he saw him staring at them. Liam on the other hand was worried about the boy that's why he stopped and looked at the boy with worry in his eyes.
After baing shouted at by his father. He snapped out and bowed as a sign of respect and left the dininh room. He went in his room and immediately looked up in the internet about their company, possible problems, possible opportunities and whatever setbacks they ate experiencing.
However he can only look at the small information as it may be classified and will only be given by his father to him tomorrow.
At the same time in the dining room. Ronald looked at Damien and stood up from his chair. He walked towards him with the aura of an oppressor. Damien could only twitch in his chair as he did not know the man and felt awkward at the sight at an old man staring intensly at a kid.
Only steps away from the kid then Ronald stopped. He kneeled and looked up at the kid. He hold his chin and pinched his cheeks. He wiped some food from his mouth and dirt in his face. He had the look that some father is looking at a child warmly.
Ronald did not know why he seems to axt this way as this was the first time he met the kid. Maybe because Liam did not act like a child when he was a kid and instead had the demeanor of an adult.
He looked at the child and tlaked to him.
"Do you agree to be my son?"
Meanwhile, Liam is stuck in his room conflicted about somethings. What happened in the dining room was much to take in and he felt a pain in his heart.
He wished that, he could just escape from the miserable life his living right now. Even though he just saw his father. Ronald didn't even release some kind of emotion including anger or hatred when he saw him. He just felt like he was no one in his world and treated him like everybody else. Like a nuisance and and burden. He didn't care for him.
He felt a pain in his heart and tears were forming in his eyes. But he wiped them before it started falling and focused to the situation at hand so that Damien could be adopted.
