Waking up, Liam sees an unfamiliar ceiling made of wood. It has big holes so it is probably old or home for some insects.
He leaned forward and saw a wooden wall full of cracks. He was sleeping on a wooden bed with only a deer skin as a blanket. Suddenly, he heard the creaking of a door as a aign of someone enetering the room or sgould I say, house. There were no other rooms, and probably the other one was the comfort room.
He sees an old man walking inside with a bowl of water. He walked towards Liam and was not surprised seeing him up and about but rather was relieved. He placed the bowl of water on the tabke beside the bed a picked up the towel that fell on the floor, it was on the head of Liam but fell down when he leaned forward.
The old man sat on the bed beside Liam and gave him the bowl of water.
"Go wash before we talk young man. You look terrible. And you were sleeping on the ground so I brought you here. Here take this set of clothes and change into them."
The old man says to Liam without giving him the chance to talk back. He helped Liam and pointed towards the comfort room.
" Go change in there. Don't worry no one is watching. Quickly. "
The old man rushed him and puched him inside the comfort room.
Standing alone inside the comfort room. He can't help but wonder what happened and from the looks of it, it seemed to be the village he saw before. He looked at himself and found that he is very dirtyand also kind of smelly, maybe because of the sweat.
He quickly changed and tidied his clothes into squares. He remembered that he was standing on the cliff then fell down. Walking outside the room. He looked around him and can't seem to wonder where the book is. It was something strange. He inspected himself and found a mark on his wrist.
"Oh, good. Good. You're done changing. Come, sit. Don't be shy. You should be wondering what is you situation right? Judging from your clothes, you seem to be from afar. Are you a foreigner? From what country are you from?"
The old man was speaking to fast for Liam to answer all his questions. He sat near the old mn and first introduced his name.
" Sir, my name is Liam Blake. I'm a... How do you say it... From afar."
Liam introduced himself with a little hesitation to explain his circumstances to the old man in front of him.
"Don't worry. I'm not gonna hurt you. If you're from afar then you must not know this place. This little village, if you can call it one, before was called Blakemore. Maybe you've seen the population count. Only five houses with only a person housing each of them. So about five people not including you. What more?... Ah, we're really far from the city. You will have to travel very far if you want to go to a city. Ah, this little village was the home of the renowned Golden Caster. Not many people know of it. "
Liam was kind of flabbergasted. The old man was speaking continuously like he never talked to anyone for a very long time. It feels like he is running. But with words not with his feet.
Still feeling dejected at what happened, he felt that he should ask about grimoires since it appeared in front of him when he came to. Maybe, grimoires are natural mediums here that could be used to manipulate the forces Earth did not have the capability to do?!
It was a small thought, but a thought that could answer all his curiosity nonetheless.
