After making sure the girl was fine, Lin Jun asked the security guards to take the girl and give him handcuffs. As the security guard handed him the cuffs, Lin Jun walked over to the man on the ground, screaming and cursing at everyone. In his mind, he pitied the man even though he didn't know why he did this. But there was still pity there for him. Xuan Long kept the gun pointed at the man's head as Lin Jun carefully handcuffed him. Trying not to worsen the pain the man felt.
"Xuan Long, can you call the police and tell them to come here in five minutes?" Lin Jun asked as he handed his phone to Xuan Long.
"Also, can I have the gun? The police might mistake you as a criminal." Lin Jun extended his hand to Xuan Long. He was trying to make a joke as Xuan Long really might be mistaken.
Xuan Long reluctantly gave the gun to him but looked at the phone like it was alien technology. At first, Lin Jun was confused as to why he didn't take the phone from his hand. Then it clicked, 'He doesn't even talk. How is he going to talk to the police?! I'm stupid!' "Right, never mind, I'll do it myself." Lin Jun warily smiled at him. As he made the call, Xuan Long went to a near pillar where there was little to no light. In just less than five minutes, the police showed up and entered the building. They first started went to Lin Jun as he was the head of security. Taking notes as they talked to everyone, and then an officer say Xuan Long near the pillar with a tablet in his hand. The officer made her way to Xuan Long to get some information.
Earlier when Lin Jun had called the police, Xuan Long pulled out his tablet, that he made himself, and was ten times better than any supercomputer out there. With this tablet, Xuan Long could get any information in a split second. This time he used it for checking the background of the man. The man's name was Zhen Kexi, age 34, married, and had one daughter. His occupation was the same as Xuan Long but worked as a lowly assistant and programmer. No wonder Xuan Long thought he recognized Zhen Kexi at the entrance of the company. This man worked in his department for ten years.
But a couple of weeks ago he was fired for making a couple of mistakes in a program. The mistakes weren't big, but it still caused the program to have many errors. This caused panic as the software was for a well known client. It took four days to fix the mistakes, and on the five day, the client came to claim the program. They still had errors coming up, luckily Xuan Long had come back from his week vacation. It took Xuan Long three minutes to look at the program and started to type away fixing errors left and right.
The client was in a private room with the CEO's second secretary explaining what had happened. The client was infuriated from the news and demanded the CEO to compensate his time. The client suddenly stood up to leave the room. Suddenly the door opened up 3and Xuan Long came in with files and the new and improved program in hand.
It took time for the client to clam down and looked through the software program. A shock came over the client as he looked through the program. It was perfect; no it was beyond perfect. Every line of code was executed, and whatever the client asked for was given and so much more. After looking through the software, the client's previous anger was replaced with admiration for the man standing next to the secretary.
The client praised the young man over and over again. He asked Xuan Long to leave this company to come work for him as his private programmer and become the head of the Technology Department. The client was even generous to provide him his own luxury house and the best salary he can give. When he first saw Xuan Long walk in, his first thought was to complain to the secretary and get him to fire Xuan Long on the spot. He didn't like how Xuan Long looked like with all those bandages on his body and how he dressed. Obviously, that view has changed.
Xuan Long wasn't listening to the man as he just wanted to go back to his office and continue with his work. The secretary had a disdained look as he heard the words coming out the man's mouth. 'When he first walked in, you didn't even look his way, and now you want to pouch him?! I've had enough of this man!' She looked at Xuan Long to see if he was listening or if he had any look on his face. To her surprise, he wasn't even listening or looking at the man. Instead, he was looking at her for help to deny the man's proposal. She got the message and looked at the man. 'Hahaha! He doesn't even acknowledge you in the first place.'
"I'm sorry to inform you, sir, but he doesn't talk. I'm also sorry to inform you that he will not be taking up your proposal." she had a calm look on her, for she knew how much Xuan Long was worth. He was also her best friend. How can she let her best friend be taken by someone who only values their use.
The man disliked the secretary even more after her comment. But he knew that she wasn't going to give in and in the end, he could only give him his business card. "Young man, if you ever change your mind, please contact me." he left the private room with a smirk. After the meeting, the incident was relayed to the CEO. CEO doesn't take kindly to those who make mistakes. In the end, Zhen Kexi was fired, and three days later, his wife and daughter left him to go back to her parents.
For the next few weeks, Zhen Kexi searched for jobs, and luck wasn't on his side. Zhen Kexi had favors to pay back. They had already taken whatever he had at his house and was only left with a few things. 'Why is this happening to me? I only made minor mistakes, and the outcome was this!! Why did they leave me? This isn't my fault!! This is. . . This is their fault!! They're going to pay for what they did to me!!'
The next day Zhen Kexi had bought a gun and went to the company. One incident led to another, and this where it ultimately ended for Zhen Kexi.
