I loosed bolt after bolt, wave after wave of energy, fire and lightning. I called upon the elements and used them to throttle Aiall where he stood. No matter what I threw at him he still managed to rise and face me. Darrow was hurt and down and didn't seem to be getting any better. Aiall fired round after round, shot after shot at me. I dodged, rolled, flipped out of his path, we were at a stalemate. I was bloody and tired, as was he. Neither willing to give up, I gathered my strength and stood my ground.
"Aiall...give up. You can't win this!"
"Why can't you see?! We're meant to be Nova! Why do you think I stayed all those years, why do you think I watched over you?! You're mine and you'll always be MINE! Not HIS!"
"Aiall, I don't even know you. You have a mate out there. She's waiting on you. You don't want to throw that away!" I tried to reason with him.
"My mate." He scoffed. "She never understood, I tried to tell her. She tried to stop me though. She, became an obstacle. Now, she's not."
"...What?...you...you killed...your mate?! Aiall...what have you done?!" I drew back in disgust. To kill ones mate was unthinkable, un-heard of and un-survivable for most. It was punishable by death to kill your mate in cold blood.
"SHE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND!" He screamed.
"To kill one's mate...you killed any chance at being happy in this life or any other! You've broken one of our most sacred laws! You deserve to die for what you've done Aiall!" I exclaimed as I powered up again. This time I put everything I had into the blast. Time seemed to slow down as I watched the blast slowly make it's way to it's target. I watched Aiall's eye's widen as he realized what was happening. In the blink of an eye I teleported behind Aiall. I grasped the necklace and right as I ripped it from his throat I leaned in close and whispered in his ear.
"May you find no peace in the next life, but burn forever for what you've done, May you never forget this day or what happened or who condemned you. Novara Ellisiuh Amant will be burned onto your tongue for all eternity. So sayeth I, so sayeth your QUEEN."
I teleported back to Darrow and covered his body with my own as time caught up to itself and the blast found it's target. The surrounding grounds were leveled beneath the sheer force of my power. When finally the sky cleared and the debris settled, all that remained of Aiall was his corpse turned to stone. I had no time to think of all that happened, I called my newly overcharged powers and teleported myself and Darrow back to the castle. Unfortunately, I only made it to the courtyard. I was so tired and worn down, I hadn't the strength left to go any further. I fell to my knee's hearing footsteps rapidly getting closer, then darkness took me.
