Chapter 1 - Reborn into another world

Salaryman Kwanda stretches his collar and tries to blow some air down his shirt. His work crucible is in the hell zone of his office. Here the sun shines directly onto his back, but the air conditioner is not strong enough to reach. Thus hell with a literal tonne of paperwork in front him. When he receives a call from Gogo Lupita. She is extremely distressed, as she is sure that his younger sister had just left to go to the movies with a Kishi.

A Kishi! Kwanda has heard the stories from his grandfather Richard 'the Rive' before about how, his late uncle lost his wife to a Kishi. Kwanda did not want that to happen to his little sister. Those monsters in men's clothing are vile and evil things who use their good looks to devour the innocent. Kwanda, of course, doesn't think Gogo Lupita means a literal man with a hyena on the back of his head. She is using hyperbole to get her point across about the character of the man. No matter though, Kwanda would have done anything to leave his hell, even if it is only for a little bit.

Kwanda, having to sell the family emergency, dashes out of the office, leaving his cell phone behind, so that his bosses can't call him to return. He picks up his jacket with his cars in it and literally Usain bolts to his car. His car is a two-tonne paperweight made in 1994, with a stuttering 2 Litre engine and accented with rust.

He is driving towards the local cinema at his sister's favourite mall. Rather than her favourite, it is the closest and where many people from the block work. So Kwanda can keep tabs on her through some of his old high school friends. When he arrives, he rushes down the escalator, kicking an unsuspecting toddler in the process. [like a funny kick, not like he dropped kicked a baby]

"You animal!" A lady shouts as her baby is crying its little eyes out. "Security! Somebody stop him. " Kwanda is too quick, and he is sure he didn't really hurt the little guy. In truth, though he does not care. His sister is his priority the world be dammed. He wants her to always keep her carefree spirit. If that means he has to go to crazy lengths to protect her, he is fine with that. Kwanda will not allow this monster to shatter her innocence.

He slides into the cinema area in line. His sister smiles at him. She looks happy, and that is all that matters to him. He rushes to her side, bumping into the Kishi on purpose, "Achebe Shuri Oyen Ouellette! What do you think you are doing here with that?" He isn't pretending to be furious as they had always agreed that she would let him know always who she was with. After all, it's just them now. They don't have any other family. Gogo Lupita is just a nosey neighbour.

"Brother, it is not what it looks..."His sister says, knowing full well this could have been avoided. If only she had picked up her phone and sent him a message. She pouts a little, holding her head and looks at Kwanda with those big brown eyes of hers.

The Kishi who Kwanda hoped had taken a flight, like the toddler, says, "like maybe we can go outside to talk about this?" Oddly, Kwanda relaxes a bit. The man's voice is like cold ice cream. Kwanda can't help but nod. The Kishi tells Shuri to "stay behind inline he will be back soon."

Kwanda gives his sister a reassuring smile as they walk out the smoking area door to an underground parking garage with no one but him and the Kishi with a few cigarette buds on the ground as spectators.

"Brother, let me explain. We are friends from school. Please understand, it is a part of normal socializing for people our age." The cool is gone in the man's voice, replaced by a deep chill that makes Kwanda take a step back. Kwanda is sure the man's eyes just flashed a terrible yellow.

"What you say makes sense." says Kwanda, "but that's my sister. You are a thousand years too early. I will accompany her when we get back. Apologize and explain that your young child from a previous relationship needs your help, now follow me." Kwanda is no coward. Not even giving the Kishi a chance to respond, he had dealt with the whole situation swiftly and calmly dealing this fool a death blow and forever protecting his sister.

Drip... Drip... A terrible warm feeling on his neck it is his blood. The young man was in fact a real Kishi. A demon of legend that had bitten his neck. Slowly his tears ran down his face, "why me?"

The Kishi says a prayer that Kwanda doesn't understand. Those were the last words he words ever heard in this world...[I sacrifice this life, to the lord of knowledge, Giver of power, The Great Creator, Hallowed is Lord Ori].

[Special Dimension Divine Dimension]

"My lord Ori, another one is coming. What should I do with him?" A spirit jackal with lines of golden fur running throughout his body. Looks to his lord and master for answers.

With ease, the lord says, "Let him step forward. This is all I can do to make up for what those monsters are doing in my name." He is not a god gifted with a future sight, so he never imagined humans would twist his teaching into something so terrible.

"Kwanda steps forward," an Aziza with 8 eagle wings shows him where to go. His spirit form has bite marks on his neck. As he arrives before the God known as Ori. Ori is old and wizen, his jackals roaming around Kwanda. Hunting the spirits of the wicked and delivering the innocent to the gates of judgment.

Ori says to him, " I know, it's not what I wanted either, and she is safe, at least from that monster. I cannot interfere with the Earth. None us can, only the Three can.

I rule over a magical world called Nibiru. I will send you. If you wish you can start a new life with a fates' destiny. Do you wish to reincarnate in Nibiru?" Ori had a set speech pattern. He had mastered that when he spoke. It conveyed a perfect understanding to the person being spoken to thus no need for questions, just consent.

"What choice do I, live in Earth's hell or start a new, I choose to start anew in Nibiru!" Kwanda declared. With a flick of Ori's wrist, Kwanda is reborn into the body of a baby, a male human, with skin of bronze and hair like sheep's wool.

In the village of Qunu, on the hinterlands of the Kingdom, Avalon. A young wife has just given birth to a son. His father exclaims, holding his hands high. "We will call you, kwanda! like my father's father before him."
