Wendy was wearing a simple dress with light armor over it. His sisters greeted their mom and then prodded Kwanda with a few light questions. This went on for a few minutes before Wendy explained the reason they are here.
Kwanda was shocked to discover that it was all for him. Wendy explained that she had secured a powerful pet for him to link. The one he got in school would go into a beast cube.
"As you are now a part of our family we cannot allow things to go wrong in your development. Especially since you have already condescended your mana to the solid-state."[Wendy]
Kwanda immediately was shocked but more than all his sisters were also shocked as they had only manage to do it around their Fifteenth birthday.
Wendy explained that "they are all trained in the old way and that the manual the doctor had given him was from her family. Only talented people can master that condensing technique and to do it in three months is especially shocking nowadays."
As the youngest of the clan, his sisters would also have to present him with a small gift to welcome him. Even the doctor who just a few minutes away from doing some sort of shamanic ritual. Came up "alright my boy it's time."
Wendy took the lead, "in this here savanna are three paths. Of course, nothing can be given for free. You have to choose one path, exercise wisdom in your choice."
The first path is the easiest, the dangers presented here are small creatures like snakes or other harmless creatures[in truth in this patch of the savanna there are no harmless creatures].
The third is the most dangerous creature also the hardest trek and probably the most powerful creature egg as a reward.
The second path is straightforward you will be tested and if you succeed I will be most pleased [this was her hint to him to go down the second path].
Now chose we will make sure you don't die at the most remember your one us now, even if you do not know what that means you have an image to uphold."
He nodded as he walked forward hesitantly towards the third path he knew he had to impress Wendy with his ability [which at the moment is none].
He took a final look back, at his family. Liza gestured with her hands the number two his eyes opened wide. Wendy looked back as if she sensed something. But she was a fraction too late and did not see anything.
He thought he made the right decision, "why would she tell to take the second path." He thought momentarily. His new life for the past seven years had dulled his senses, he was no longer wary of everything, he no longer questioned what people told. Most importantly of his ability to judge danger was compromised.
So, he went to the second path, not because he did not believe in himself but wanted to show trust in his new family especially in a place where he knew he would not die at least.
When walked in the path the surrounding suddenly changed he was back in Qunu, in front of a Werehyena[the path had disappeared]. He ran, he did not even take a second for him to turn tail and run. He was even shouting in pure panic. This noise alerted the Werehyena to his presence.
It began to pursue him, laughing the whole time. He was terrified to the bone. This was his nightmare when he arrived here to Avalon city for almost two weeks he would be chased by Werehyena until caught him and eventually beat him. Coupled with the trauma of his village now fresh in his mind he was at loss not knowing what to do.
He ran into his old home, closed the door behind him to catch his breath. Then he climbed onto the roof his room was in the attic so it had roof access. The Werehyena smashed through the door, it did not even slow down one bit. Which meant it slammed straight into the kitchen.
Kwanda jumped this was his chance the moments' respite had allowed him to formulate a plan. He ran towards his neighbor's house to grab a torch.
Every house he passed by was set alight. This was done to confuse the Werehyena. Then he methodically made his way to the local barracks. He moved box after box into the room from the armory. Then he checked his surroundings looking for a way out of this hell.
He did not see anything except his village burning to the ground. He had also pick up a blade and cut his hand. He had no way out he could at fight or die trying. "No no, I won't die I'm gonna live no matter what." He had to live.
The terror gripped his hurt, he knew he could not get badly hurt again and the doctor had warned: "that it might not be possible to heal If he got severely hurt again."
Pressure mounted he knew his diversion at most could buy him an hour, had cut his hand and smeared it on the door of armory. Soon the menacing laugh of the Werehyena was approaching his destination. When it spotted him in front of the door at lunged with all its power at Kwanda stood their frozen with a knife in the one hand and a torch in the other...
