Silence, again. Feels like surprises pop up again and again. Ok then, I believe him. To be honest it's actually not that hard to believe the fact that he rules earth, it's just the title of king is hard to believe.
"I can't believe you, you ignorant child. How dare you insult King Daemon while your father and I aren't there to watch you,"
Her hand was out and drawn back. Sigh, she's going to slap me. I braced myself and closed my eyes for the sting of the slap.
It never came.
"Juliet my dear, how have you been? I trust that business has been going well."
Althgar had mother's wrists held with his own hand and had a smile of his face as he spoke to her.
"Y-y-yes my king,"
She was a bundle of nerves. I took this chance too walk away and mother didn't even bat an eye at my leaving. I went to go sit near the twins as Dominic was glaring at me.
Both of them moved out so I could sit in the middle, it seems like they thought it would protect me. A twitch on the edge of my mouth showed. They glared back at Dominic just proved their point and out of the corner of my eye I internally laughed at the sight of Fox rolling her eyes at him.
"Now lets begin the introduction lesson, this is where I will be giving you all the starting information to the rest of the year where you will expand on it. We will also be having balls once every week to keep up appearances and to exercise self control. Heads, you can go and prepare your respective rooms for the lessons. The order will be MEMK."
He nodded to the parents who kept their head low as they turn around to acknowledge him. His attention returned back to us and he started once again.
"The most important and secretive piece of information will go first as you need time to digest it.
Human kind did not evolve from apes, we are the result of heaven and hell clashing. Earth is not a planet but a living space for the grey. During this clash their were three results, the first was humanity. Humanity is the name given to the result that the powers cancelled each other out. The next is Dormants, dormants are rarer then humanity, they occurred when one of the two powers comes out more pronounced then the other, they then lay dormant otherwise they will kill the host and along with it, their self. The last, is Myth, this is the rarest, in fact the only myths in today's population are within the castle."
He stopped temporarily, well that escalated quickly.
"That is all the information your going to be dumped with today, I am sure you need answers but you are going to need to process the information given to you today, carefully."
He walked back to his throne and during his walk he dismissed us with a simple, I will see you again tomorrow.
We left as we were escorted out by the shadow guards who decided to pop down for a visit. They more, forced us out as pressure on our backs said to leave now.
So, let's go back a bit, are we living in reality or not?
There are frickin satellites out there in space which are monitoring Earth and he comes up to us and tells us we aren't living on a planet. Then he goes and destroys the most believable theory of the start of human kind by saying heaven and hell exist and that we're the result of them 'clashing'. Then through deduction skills the reason why the high class cannot ascend anymore is because they aren't myths. So are the high class dormants? No, no I'm going to far. Why am I even believing all this magical nonsense? But if life teaches you one thing, it's that nothing is impossible nor certain. The most rational choice without the information is to believe him. I can't imagine him pulling something so serious as a joke and when the noble heads all respect him so much too. What to believe, what to believe...
I turned head to the group.
"Anyone know what's happening?"
Anastasia called up and with a troubled face.
"Well the rational decision is to believe him."
I said back, I wanted to see how she'd react.
"Why should I? You've all know him for a month and that's only barely enough time to trust someone fully. And I've just met the pompous ass."
She was speaking rough with a calm tone. Not flustered but reasoning with words that fall barely into the line of formal language.
"You say the respect the noble heads paid him."
"So your saying that you believe you are the product of heaven and hell?"
"Of course not, I'm just reasoning with you,"
She sighed and went silent.
We kept walking and one of the shadow guards talked but with a ventriloquist style, meaning he wasn't suppose to talk to us at all.
"You know, he's telling the truth, Earth isn't what it seems nor is humanity. Think back to the history lessons, how did humanity have the upper hand to rise so quickly to the top of the food chain? We miraculously had the brain back then with a population of a mere 5 million to wipe out the mammoths, and that was only our first step in power."
That was all he said. More food for thought but nothing for answers to plan upon.
So what did we do when we were once again locked inside the room?
We because deathly silent and each of us were trying to make some sense out of today's troubling lesson.
