Six months had passed by but there was still no news of her mother. But she restrained herself after Max and Jose's warning and diligently looked after the company. She was one of a kind businesswoman who could make anything and everything work and under any circumstances. So, she was feared throughout the country. She was extremely ruthless in the whole business industry. Yet no one has seen her. She hid herself beneath a mask and kept low profile. Many people tried to investigate her secretly, but she found out each and every one of them. The investigating persons were sent a grave warning which also served as warning for others. After that, no one tried to investigate her. Everyone saw her gentle smile and clear eyes. But each one of them knew that behind those gentle eyes lay a monster who, when provoked, can unleash a deadly attack and massacre everything. Thus, she went on to become the most feared businessman or rather businesswoman in the country in these six months.
"Jose, when is the next appointment?", Lisa said. Jose became her secretary to keep her safe. Max managed the security detail. After setting up the company Lisa wanted to have a secretary and Jose readily joined so that Lisa isn't alone. Because he is afraid that once he leaves Lisa alone , he dare not think about it. Last time he left her alone he found her alone in a corner of a room, shivering and crying. That day it was raining, accompanied by thunder. He came to know that day that this small woman in front of him is afraid of thunder. Maybe it brings her bad memories. Hopefully he came that day. Hopefully nothing happened to her. Seeing her crying and shivering, he felt as if a knife is being twisted in his heart.
"Hey, what are you daydreaming for?"
"It's nothing. Well your next appointment is with Mr. Rosse."
"Are the presentations ready? What about the necessary documents?"
"Ya, Susan is bringing them."
Susan is Lisa's new secretary, working under Jose. She is a hardworking girl and is dedicated to her work. Most importantly, Susan is loyal to Lisa. Lisa found Susan in the streets in battered clothes, face full of dirt. Susan was on the verge of death. Lisa found her and took her to the hospital. She got her treated. Susan found her hope in Lisa. She was the sunshine in that endless darkness of her life. Later Lisa found out that Susan was kicked out of home by her drunkard father. Being helpless, she stayed in one corner of a lonely street. She was hungry for days. She was educated, but her certificates were torn, her clothes burnt, she did not know what to do. She became hopeless day by day. Lisa imbued the fighting spirit in her. Not only, she got her treated, but also gave her hope. She swore on that day that she would never hesitate to give away her life for Lisa in times of need, as that would be the right thing to do.
"Good morning, Mam. Here are the papers you require for this meeting."
"Thanks dear. Would you bring me a cup of coffee, please?"
"Sure. I'll be on my way then." Susan took one look at Jose nodded as a form of greeting and left. But the blush creeping at her neck couldn't escape Lisa's eye. After few minutes, Susan brought coffee for Lisa and Jose.
"Mam, anything else you need?"
"No dear, that will be all. You can continue with your work."
"Okay then. I shall take my leave. Have a good day, Mam."
"Hey, Suzie! How can you be sooooo biased! You wished her a good day but not me? How can you be soooo heartless?" Jose clutched his chest and scrunched up his face in mock hurt.
"Huh!?? Have a good day Sir.", Susan said and left blushing.
"You're gonna have a girlfriend soon!" Lisa mused.
Cough.. cough... Jose splashed the coffee and coughed furiously. "What are you saying?"
"You'll see soon. And when that happens remember to treat me with a meal."
"I shall take my leave then."
"No. First you clean this desk, which you have dirtied." Lisa glared at him and left.
"How can you be so heartless? I'm your bro!" Hearing this, a smile crept up onto Lisa's lips. She paid no attention to him and left. After assigning the task of cleaning the desk to someone, he too left for the meeting room.
