Chapter 8 - Store

After gulping down the water, Melania slightly relaxed. Then, she started thinking about her dreams now. 'After he left, my baby became an empty shell. She just secluded herself from this whole world. Nothing could bring on her enthusiasm. Neither was she interested in anything nor anyone. The only thing in which she kept herself busy was her 'computer'. I don't know what she used to do but she immersed herself in the computer world.' Melania thought inwardly.

'I miss you, Sophie, my dear baby. I miss you so much. Where on the earth are you?', Melania softly whispered.

In another room, a young man could be seen sitting with a very old photo which he was caressing gently as if it was the most precious treasure. 'I miss you, my love. I was naive at that time. But now I know, that feeling is the most mysterious 'love'. Whenever I came close to you, I was forced apart from you due to the influence and actions of others. You don't know how I kept myself alive after separating from you previously. Now that I have returned again, I swear that anybody who tries to separate us will face my wrath. But, I must find you sooner. Why don't you come to me? Why are you not letting me discover you? Why?', the young man was whispering to the young girl in the photo.

In S City:

Lisa completed all her work and was preparing to leave office when Jose called.

'Hey Liz, wanna go to the bar tonight?'

'No.'

'Come on, you spoilsport. Please. We haven't had fun for months. Please let's head to the bar. At least we can relax a bit. Max is coming and I've convinced Susie to come too. Please don't say no. Pleaseeeeeeeeee'

'Ok, but pick me up. I won't drive.'

'I'm already waiting for you downstairs. Come let's have fun, Sis.'

Lisa shook her head as she ended the call at how enthusiastic Jose was at partying. With a smile tugging at her lips, she left her office and went downstairs only to find Jose waiting for her in the car.

Lisa opened the door and got in. Jose started the car and drove slowly towards the bar as Max and Susan had already reached there. Meanwhile, he kept on chatting constantly to which Liz was listening attentively but kept a face as if she was extremely bothered by such uncontrolled chattering. Jose was least bothered about the fact whether she liked his blabber or not. Jose pulled over in front of the most famous mall in their area.

'What are we doing here?', Lisa asked.

'Duh! Dumbo, we are here to buy dresses obviously.', Jose said sarcastically.

'Hey, who are you calling dumbo? You are dumbo! Your whole family is dumbo!', exclaimed Lisa.

'Okay, okay, as you say. Now let's go in and buy some dresses. Or are you planning to visit the bar in these clothes?, Jose raised an eyebrow looking at Lisa's office attire.

'Okay then, let's head inside.'

Lisa does not like shopping like other women of her age. Max and Jose has to, practically, drag her to go to the shopping. Lisa headed towards a particular shop, which she visits whenever she comes to this mall. Though, that is very rare. After going inside, the manager greeted her and showed her various dresses. She rejected almost all the dresses on account that they were all 'very short for her'. The manager was having a headache. That was the scene that Jose witnessed. The manager sighed in relief after seeing Jose. She felt as if her life saviour has come. She bolted towards Jose to tell him about the situation. Jose simply said, 'Okay, you may leave.' The manager left hurriedly. Then, Jose came forward to find Lisa looking towards a silver black sequin mini dress. Jose hurriedly ordered it in the fear that this one may also be rejected if she keeps looking longer.

'Let's go.', Jose whispered.

'Okay.'

'Why do you always scare these poor staff?'

'To see whether they have potential.'

'What potential?'

'Nothing.'

Jose often does not understand what Lisa speaks in riddles. Little does he know that this clothing store is Lisa's. She was young when she opened it with the help of her friends. Only when her friends left, did she fall into this misery. That is the story for another day.

Jose and Lisa made way to the bar after changing her dress. As she was leaving the mall, she bumped into someone familiar. The person turned to say sorry but by that time Lisa already left.
