Chapter 33 - The Overlord's Hunch

Sinclair's dressing table and bathroom shelves blossomed in a dizzying array of perfume bottles, variations in modelled structures.

The study table was perhaps on a flood of white papers and other important documents.

The confidentiality was not a big deal for him as no one could enter into the lair of Ghost king, with such a black heart.

How the people described their Lord? The main problem was his temperament which was really hard to understand, if psychiatrists were supposed to use him as a subject, but again the question is 'if', then they would fail, try and fail.

Now in the dawn of the twenty - first century he finally found his bride again and this time he was ready to topple over the civilizations and would plunge the whole Earth into a war just to win his bride, if needed.

The spirit realm was sweltering with summer heat because of adjacent gate towards Hell, and definitely Sinclair was not likely to take such discomfort to teleport back to his kingdom unless something extremely important had not been at stake for him to resolve.

"I hope this was not a wild-goose chase, Elmore."

He ebbed and said, his voice was soft but just for only a few and Elmore was that exception.

"No, my Lord. I'm sure."

Elmore Drago who was standing obediently, head lowered and arms crossed behind, tucked above hips.

He was the only person permitted to his Lord's bedchamber and the only individual aware of his plans.

"Hmm."

Droned Sinclair yet unconvinced.

He wandered along the room muddling deeply as if something was wrong or perhaps still hidden from his sight. He still believed that they were showed what the enemy wanted them to see and all was an illusion.

Sinclair trusted him but his instincts were not convinced and he wanted to save his kingdom from crumbling again.

Elmore began to pour some mint tea into a small white cup, which golden carvings on it, placed just a few steps away from wandering Sinclair, close to his bed.

"My lord."

He tapped the table gently for his attention, which successfully pulled out Sinclair from his zoned out state.

And if any other person had done that disturbing deed he would have been turned to ashes by his glaring stare, he generally had the effect on people because of his heterochromia.

Sinclair scurried close to the table and the thump of his shoes echoed in the sombre chamber.

"What do you think Elmore, about this mishap?"

As soon he crouched down on the cozy mattress, he raised a question for Elmore, not because he did not trust him but because he was the most trustworthy to him.

"I daresay and admit that perhaps I have made a mistake, my Lord."

Elmore remained rooted opposite to his silhouette in a standing position.

"I think something is lurking around and playing from the shadows and daring to fool us."

Sinclair completely ignored his gibberish sentences, as he fully acknowledged that the man did his level best for him and to serve his kingdom.

"I-yes, my Lord."

The giant guardian of the gates who could snap a man's backbone like a twig was talking cautiously before his master, choosing the right words to utter and it was obvious because he was talking to the mighty, powerful Lord of Spirit realm.

"We have to be careful now, we do not know yet who is behind all this mishap but I'm afraid that he might lead us straight into an ambush without us even knowing."

Sinclair admitted in a worrisome tone, in front of him and for Elmore too it was an unexpected thing to see his Lord tense like that.

"I'm aware that we are not without enemies my lord, but we trust you and have faith in you. We will fight by your side."

The sight caused his heart ache because while growing up with his Lord under the same roof, he was aware of his brilliance and how he could bamboozle every hurdle.

"I'm fully aware of your dedication, Elmore. But I want to nip the evil in the bud before the venom spreads so far in the body. You know I do not want bloodshed again, I do not want history to repeat itself. "

Sinclair sounded concerned, his voice laced with worry and face grimaced on the mere memory of the past. While Elmore simply sighed, he could not stop his master from worrying about others, since when he had lost his everything earlier.

"Lord Sinclair, you are getting late to meet her Highness."

Elmore informed him on the account of being his childhood friend, he wanted to send him away for some relief.

And knew that only her Highness could make him happy and will persuade him forget about all the painful past and sufferings, which Sinclair used to recall now and then.

"Oh my goodness, I should get going, it has already been three days now."

Sinclair shot up from his bed in a panicked posture that made Elmore giggle in heart and brought a small smile on his face.

"Tell Jason, that I will be back soon this time AND there is no need for him to visit me with that clumsy-evil ass of his!"

Sinclair strictly informed Elmore who was supposed to convey his message to the younger Lord, who was probably sleeping like a dead log by now, living like a free bird with no burden on his shoulders.

Sinclair brought up his younger brother with great love, who was five hundred years younger to him and still a child in his teenage years. The only two men were dear to him and now another person was included under the 'wing of his love'.

The blanket of darkness engulfed the sky, the only thing lightening up the town were silvery shiny chandeliers hung like tingling little fireflies.

When everyone was sound asleep, dreaming and drenched into their own thoughts. The only folks who were awake by that hour probably love sick poets and love birds cuddling into each other's embrace in the bed.

When everything was living it's time so peacefully someone was about to sneak out from his kingdom to meet his beloved bride.
