The black charcoal road was stretched so far along with the never ending darkness that engulfed the whole city.
A poisoned silence hovered outside like everything stopped or perhaps every living was dead.
No sound, no chirp, no chatter, nothing could be heard. Everything was sombre and calm. And it should be as it was about two at night, when no one goes out.
Or I would say no well-reputed man goes out, to save himself from unnecessary gossip and the moment when people shut their doors by eleven and stay confined to their homes.
A heart broken and shattered man, who's heart was poisoned with the venom of love, and the deadly thing occupied both his heart and mind.
He left his manor in the outskirts of the city and was measuring the whole black python whose body was spread throughout the miles and was laying in the whole city.
His grip strengthened on the steering and as the marvellous Bugatti Veyron soared onto the black charcoal spread snake, his heart began to pump faster.
He had a little hope to put the things back to normal but was not sure that either she would give him a chance or not.
Would she believe his words? Or history will repeat itself and he would lose her again?
Many questions were humming and buzzing in his mind and no one could answer to his query, other than his own bride.
When his frustration with himself increased, he dialled to his friends, of course in business circle. The man was known for being ruthless to enemies and generous to his pals.
The rumoured cunning and sharp tycoon, Sinclair MacLaverty was helpless for the second time. He hated that condition of his and the feeling was familiar to him with the one he felt centuries ago.
Soon the sound of Xander, the son of an ancient respected family in the business world, could be heard by anyone out of the car.
"So buddy how was it?"
Kurtz, also an heir to a shipping conglomerate, added another question in an excited tone.
"How was she?"
Jairus, the third friend and the new client who teamed up with Sinclair, was driving, not so smooth but steady enough.
Though his grip on the steering was strong but he was a little drunk, Sinclair called them all for a bit relief but to his dismay the men were blabbering about something, in which he was not interested.
"Ah! She was better, better than others."
Jairus who probably spent his past few hours with a girl, was explaining the things.
"Aye! aye!"
And all the three men laughed mockingly except Sinclair who sat in the front silently but he let Jairus to drive, not noticing that the man was already drunk.
His mind was swept away to the thoughts of his beloved, he was struggling with the chaos he created himself.
"She tried something new? Tell us, nay."
Kurtz was excited to know what happened between Jairus and that bar girl, probably the famous prostitute of that club.
"Uh! No, the same as usual. But her sweet taste is still on my tongue."
Jairus licked his lips with lust visible in eyes while the other men laughed shamelessly.
"Oh, the one who served me was too bad in bed. I think she was a beginner."
Xander straightened his back and replied while pouting as if he was clearly disappointed by her service.
"Too bad for you buddy."
Jairus uttered sympathetically as he glanced back at them from the front mirror and sensed Sinclair sitting quiet.
Sure his silence was noticeable but the men were really drowned into their own gibberish that they forgot the man sitting with them and whomever was the owner of that luxurious Bugatti, Jairus was driving.
"Hey, Sinclair? What happened to you boy?"
Jairus questioned him with quizzical expressions, though Sinclair was not that friendly with people in his circle and certainly it was not in his nature to mingle.
But when he arrived in human realm to search for his bride, he needed something, a reason to stay and understand things.
He worked to step into the business world thus learning about humans so that he could understand his bride, who was supposed to be reborn in this realm.
And to mingle with people he had to step down from his authoritative personality and to show a friendly attitude.
"Ah! Nothing much. What are you guys saying?"
He sounded so low and the three men sensed his strange attitude.
"You can share with us buddy if you want, hope we can help."
They acknowledged that the thing bothering to their friend was definitely not business as Sinclair was a pro in that game.
He tend to bamboozle every task and hurdle thrown at him, sure the Ghost King was born with sharp silver cells. So the only thing remaining was his personal life, of which they all was unaware.
"Ah! No. I'm all fine. So, where are we going?"
Sinclair shifted the topic at once, after all he could not tell them about the 'problem' and it was against his man ego to ask help from mere humans in the matter of love.
"Hey, I have heard of a better one or say a perfect professional one, what if we try her?"
Kurtz presented his idea and informed his friends about another girl.
"Ugh! Not again. I'm not in a mood now."
Jairus replied quickly, in an irritating tone, he was not so satisfied by the previous service and did not want to waste his energy on another one.
"O come on man! you are young and the strongest one among us except our hunkalicious Sinclair. I'm sure you will like her."
Xander added and insisted upon visiting that bar. They all were fond of going to such places but Sinclair kept his soul and body for Syna. Though he visited bars and pubs with them but was certainly not a womanizer.
Although the media did not spare the mighty Ghost King and created such rumours, but it did not even bother the Lord of spirit realm instead made him laugh as he was ready to endure everything for his bride.
"How come are you sure about that....that she will not disappoint me?"
Jairus questioned annoyingly.
"Bet? If she failed to make you high I will strip down in front of you both!"
Kurtz proposed the horrible idea that Jairus stopped the car with a jerk in amazement.
