The Lone Wolf ; Curse Of Immortality

I stood there before the strongest immortal I've ever encounted. The aura behind him was brighter than any aura I've ever seen before . 'Am I to really battle such an individual', I thought to myself. His sheer presence brought upon a fear that even the scariest of demons didn't bring. A smirk that any mere mortal would dread to see at such an instance. I've come so far. How can I back down now? I lost so many loved ones on the way but in such an instance I fear that even I wouldn't make it out alive. I stood there for what felt like an eternity before even blinking. What am I to do? Fight him? Run away like a little pussy ? I could see that I've been testing his patience. Should I say something? He did not even move but stood patiently and seemed to be ready for any attack that came his way. The words of my grandfather mumbled in my head, "The curse of immortality was bestowed upon you so that you can make a difference, don't let anyone stop you, the world awaits for the one true warrior to save all mortals. You are the chosen one!", these exact words played on repeat in my head. Many minutes have gone and suddenly, "you fool" he screamed. "Are you going to fight me or should kill you where you stand?". My blood froze as he drew out his weapon, a Masamune katana, the sharpest of swords and in the hands of such a skilled warrior this fight could go real bad real fast. I took a few deep breaths, closed my eyes and hoped that if there was any real god above that he would help me out at this moment. I drew out my sword, looked my foe in the eye and uttered, "How else would I uphold this reputation as a Lone Wolf?"
