" Sweetie, have dinner in our house tonight. I'll introduce you to my friend's son", her mother quipped excitedly.
Avery let out an exasperated sigh. Her mother makes it her mission to annoy her.
" Mom, stop matchmaking me with everyone. I'm not interested!" Avery cried.
"You're always not interested. How can we see our grandchildren then? My friends are already busy walking with their cute and flabby grandchildren in the park. Uwuwuwuwu!," Mrs. Liang continued to nag.
" ",..Avery just quieted up. This conversation has happened many times already as if she's not 28 yrs old but a 40 year old spinster.
"Oh my God! ," her mom suddenly sqeaked.
Avery was surprised by her mother's squeal and nearly dropped the phone.
"Mom! What's wrong?Did something happened to Dad?", Avery asked nervously.
"Oh my word!" Mrs Liang continued to whine. A sudden thought occured to her and if it's true, it will be sayonara* to those lovely grandbabies!
"Your father is fine. Don't worry about that geezer. He's strong as a horse."
Avery let out a sigh of relief. Though she is cold to other people, she value her family very much.
"Out with it Mom! You know I don't like being left hanging"
" Aiyaaaa! Don't shout at me. You know that we love you but you are our only child. You have no interest in the opposite since young. Tell me my baby, are you a lesbian? You like girls instead?" Mrs. Liang wailed.
