"The sun sure is very hot here!" Avery thought as she stood inside the airport. She has just arrived at City H on her way to Casa Santander and is waiting for Atty. Cheng to pick her up.
Her phone rang and sure enough, it was the lawyer calling.
"Miss Liang, have you arrived? I had an emergency so I'll be there in 10 minutes. I apologize "
" What can I do if you are not here yet? Of course, I'll just have to wait. " Avery said sarcastically.
" You know, your face might look angelic but the sharpness of your tongue is like that of a vipers'." A man suddenly said behind her ear which made Avery shriek and inadvertently end the call.
" Bastard! Why do you sneak on others like that?! " Avery turned. " That's very rude of you!.
She was speechless for a moment. The man is tall and ruggedly handsome. He has very dark eyes that seems to penetrate your soul when he looks at you. Looking deeper, the guy is well built with muscles that made him ooze with sex appeal.
" Like what you see sweetheart?", he smirked arrogantly. "You can take me home if you want. I'm all yours.", he drawled while giving her a smile that could drop a thousand panties.
What he said splashed Avery like iced water. She composed herself and looked at him coldly."No thank you. You look like a slut so who knows what diseases will I get from you. I prefer my men refined." she sarcastically quipped back.
His jaw hardened at that but he retorted while getting closer to her face, " You don't mean that. Clearly you haven't been to the wild side so you don't know how its like. Refined me are boring."
This man is dangerously eating up her space. However, her stuborness doesn't want her to back down.
Avery raised her eyebrows and pushed him away. The guy caught her hand and pulled hence, they fell down the floor with Avery ending at the top.
"See?!", he smirked. "You're jumping my bones already in broad daylight.", he said while laughing, earning them a guffaw from the onlookers.
Realizing that there are many onlookers who have gathered, she abruptly stood up and picked up her things. With a flaming face, she march towards the door to avoid embarassment. Before going out though, she turned her head and fiercely called to the man who is still on the ground chuckling.
"Hey Pervert! I wasn't jumping your bones. You pulled me. And nope, I still prefer educated men over reckless and arrogant pricks! So na-ah, you don't pass!" Avery ranted before she roughly pushed the doors and walked out.
