After Titania left, Oberon looked at the Pixie.
"I am sure you would feel more comfortable if we laid some ground rules. So what would make you more comfortable?"
"Um, you mean, I really am a Consort?"
"Yes, Titania has accepted you. "
'Fuck, this sucks!' The Pixie thought to herself. "Ok, well, I am only a half century, I haven't even earned my human form for a week. So let me get used to it before demanding too much."
Oberon gave her a frustrated look.
"I have no idea what you are thinking. I think you are influenced too much by the humans' silliness. A Consort is a contractual position. I need you to get other's cooperation for various things. For example, the Wilis and the Kelpies are similar in that both drown their chosen one. Think of all the havoc if the two kinds cooperate!"
"Yes, I can see that. What makes you think I can get them to do so though?"
"Well, you got that gremlin to work with you, and gremlins don't work with anyone."
"Oh."
The Pixie thought about it. The various Faery kinds were mostly fading, except for a few who became quite famous like the brownies of Harry Potter, or the kitsunes of Japan who just seemed to pop up everywhere. However, her main points weren't like the Wilis or Kelpies. Hers were more like gremlins, or the dancing ring fairies. Befuddling humans, tricking them, playing tricks, rather than seducing and/or killing, even a poltergeist she had more in common with.
"Ok, but I won't go against my nature. I think I see what you want, alliances from the various kinds. I think it will be easiest for me to start with the Rakshakas, Onis, and Trolls. They are the wilderness version of mischief maker after all. "
