Chapter 54 - Collaboration

Levi wanted to reply to the message, but since it was a system message from his phone, there wasn't a reply function. He turned to look at Zhang Ye who looked like a father teasing his son. "Then what about the other half of the dagger? Do you have information about it too?"

Zhang Ye composed himself and sat back down his chair, "*Cough* Even if you found the missing half, you don't have the skill to fix it. And there wasn't a signature from the blacksmith, so finding the blacksmith is already a problem. From the looks of it, it seems to be made by a godly blacksmith, no ordinary blacksmith could create such a heaven defying dagger."

"I already asked Keith to find any clues leading to the blacksmith, but he couldn't find any even after a week of searching."

Levi was a bit disappointed at the reply. He could get a much better dagger in the Security Company's vault, but since the points system has just been established, there weren't any missions that contained them. Furthermore, there still wasn't a fixed price for each item, so getting ahold of them was impossible at the moment.

"When do we depart?"

"No offense, but did you bring any money?" Zhang Ye knew that Ezra took all of Levi's money away, so he asked.

Levi froze in place.

...

Apollo played all day in the Gaming cabin and hadn't left it since yesterday. Since he has already placed a few bottles of energy serums in the cabin, he didn't need to worry about anything. He got off and went upstairs to prepare for the opening of the restaurant.

Playing [Heroes and Fate] for twenty four hours straight gave him the motivation to open the restaurant since he experienced the 'thrill' people often seek in life. Twenty four hours seems too much, but since he was a... god, there was nothing to worry about. On the outside, it would look like he only played twenty four hours, but in the virtual space, he played for over fourty eight hours.

Just as he was removing the plywood covering the counter, there were already a few people approaching in the distance. Even though the restaurant is closed, people still go over to check if it really is close since the food tasted delicious. And even if it is closed, they would stay for a couple of hours just to use the internet.

"Oh- Hurry up!" Justin beckoned when he saw the restaurant slowly opening. These past few days, he has been waiting for the restaurant to open so that he could play without worries. Although he has internet at home and at their Gaming House, it was unstable and would often make his game lag.

That is pretty unusual since they have the fastest internet plan imaginable, and they paid quite a sum of money every month. With that problem in hand, they played bad compared to their usual state when playing in the restaurant. Though, fast internet isn't the only thing that is needed to play professionally. There are also a couple of things to take into account such as the equipment, environment, etc.

Without even waiting for the others to respond, Justin took off his backpack whilst running towards the restaurant at full speed. They could find an internet plan of the same calibre in other Internet Service Providers, but that would force them to cough out a large amount of money. Since they are only a four-man group, they aren't allowed to participate in professional play. And they are also unwilling to be bind into the shackles of a contract for a team. The only source of income they have is the prize money for local tournaments, the donations they receive from streaming and the money they get from sponsorship deals.

After booting up his laptop and plugged in all of his peripherals, a bright idea came to his head. He looked towards Apollo who was as usual–sitting behind the counter– and said, "Boss, why don't you... set up an internet cafe of your own? Or at least a hotel here so that we could use the internet."

An internet cafe would indeed rake in a lot of profits for Apollo, but that would just hinder his gaming sessions in virtual reality. Moreover, he doesn't have anyone in mind that would manage the internet cafe. Not only that, there is also the problem of the location, every building in the middle of the city is already owned or being rented. He could build a spatial array inside the restaurant, but there isn't any reason to build one, so why would he?

"Stop dilly dallying. I've already contacted Noah and he said he is already coming. We are still lacking in terms of strategies, if we keep this up, even a no-name team could beat us." Vincent said sternly. Because of the sh*tty internet their ISP provides, they have no choice but to rely on the restaurant's internet.

As usual, Josiah and Azrael stayed silent. Vincent is their team's acting manager. Basically, Vincent is the one responsible for all of the team's business related problems, he is also the one responsible for finding tournaments for them to join. Whenever they followed Vincent's orders, it is guaranteed that they would only see success in life.

"Liz!" Vince called out when he saw Elizabeth approaching the restaurant. She looked quite tired and gloomy with the bags under her eyes.

They got acquainted with each other ever since Vince knew of her passion for business, and although Vince focused more on the e-sports side of the spectrum, it is still business related nonetheless. Though, the only thing that kept him away from Liz is the terrifying big brother. Levi reeked with bloodshed, there was no doubt that Levi had killed people before, not only that, there was also Levi's menacing eyes, it was as if the moment he approached Elizabeth, his soul would immediately get torn to shreds by Levi's gaze.

Still, he always reminds himself that it is purely for business and that he wouldn't have thoughts on her, or else, even the heavens couldn't save him from Levi's wrath. Elizabeth ignored him, or rather, she didn't hear him and proceeded to go to the restaurant.

She didn't think that her brother would be so shameless as to leave the security company for her to deal with while he takes a vacation to Hong Kong. Elizabeth took a seat in her usual table and was about to order, but she stopped when she saw Apollo approaching with a bowl of egg fried rice.

"Thanks boss." She replied weakly.

Apollo merely nodded and went back to his seat. Lately, he has been giving Elizabeth special treatment so that his mission would further hasten in speed. The mission itself wasn't too difficult for him to deal with, but making other people deal with it while he plays in VR gave him a satisfying feeling, though, the feeling doesn't last too long.

Another thing that he wanted to satiate is his curiosity, would the reward he gets boosts his strength? Would it give him some kind of godly item? Although this world isn't fit for his ruling since it was, after all, his homeworld, it woudln't hurt to satiate his curiosity. If all things go wrong, he could just make a new world and stay there for the time being.

After taking a bite from the egg fried rice, Elizabeth immediately felt energize, as if all the fatigue that had accumulated from her work last night was erased from existence. It was a rewarding yet satisfying feeling that she could only feel from eating the egg fried rice.

Seeing that Elizabeth isn't all gloomy like she was earlier, Vincent took the opportunity and sat on a chair in her table. While eavesdropping on Elizabeth a few days ago, he heard that she wanted to build a company, but doesn't know what kind. Vince being the opportunistic guy, he wanted to take ahold of that.

Their team receives sponsorships from all kinds of pc related company, but lately, he saw that the quality of their gear has been degrading. It's not like the equipment they use are cheaply made, on the contrary, they were pretty expensive. The reason he came to Elizabeth today is to propose a collaboration.

Although Elizabeth's company isn't clear on what it is yet, with a little push from Vince, she would be convince to start up a hardware manufacturing company. He wasn't exploiting her lack of experience in the business industry, in fact, Elizabeth is benefitting the most in this collaboration.

Her company only needs to provide high quality peripherals to Vincent and his team in exchange for publicity. Each and everyone of the team members of Four Seasons has a massive following online that amounted to millions, if they were to give positive feedback to Elizabeth's company, there was no doubt that her company would gain fame overnight.

"Have you thought about it?" Vince asked.

It was only now that Elizabeth noticed Vince, "Are you sure you want to invest in my company? $100,000 is not a small amount, and you will only receive 10% shares of the company inexchange for that amount."

Vince have already thought it all up even before he started the conversation. A hundred thousand dollars may seem like a huge sum of money, but that amount of money is not even close to what he has. Since he took it out of his own pocket, it wouldn't affect their team's funds. It was fifty-fifty investment, the company would either fail or it would prosper, the latter was the most possible outcome. Elizabeth has the backing of the Four Seasons which has a massive amount of influence in the gaming scene.

One thing Vince took notice of when he was streaming is that his viewers would often ask when he makes a sick play is what mouse he uses, of course, that doesn't mean that all of his viewers would switch to the mouse he's using, but there was a portion that did so thinking it would increase their skills.

It is not just limited to his viewers, even other streamers would ask those questions since they too also wanted to improve their skills. Those type of questions doesn't make the company of the mouse they use garner massive amounts of customers, but it would raise their sales in a considerable amount. The influence that the Four Seasons has is formidable, if the four of them mention Elizabeth's company, her company would surely sky rocket.

"Don't worry, once your company becomes huge, you would praise me for my wise decision." Vincent will not only use the Four Seasons' influence, he also has a considerable amount of contacts in his phone.

"My company will be on halt for now, I still need to tend for the Security Company my brother left."

It was then where she received a message from her phone, she took it out to see what the message contained, [Don't worry about the security company, I'll take care of it.]

It was from Val. They got pretty close since Elizabeth would usually be in the company taking care of things, and because they were women, they got along pretty well compared to the scary looking bodyguards. Although Val isn't nowhere near the restaurant, Levi had left her a small tracking device which has a microphone built in, so she could hear and see where Elizabeth is. It seemed too much at first glance, but after realizing how overprotective Levi is to his sister, Val accepted the request.
