As soon as she finished reading the message, Elizabeth took her gaze off her phone and looked at Vince with a smile, "It seems that I don't have to go to the security company anymore."
Although she was all nonchalant at receiving the message, it still creeped her out. Reason being that Val knew what she was doing in real-time and even text her a message. Still, she felt somewhat relieved. Even though her privacy is breached, at least she knew that it was a woman peeping into her life.
"Alright, here are my suggestions," Vince almost jumped in his chair out of excitement, but he knew that he needed to be professional, "What about... a high-speed router for your company's first item? Not just a high-speed router, a router that people could put credits on to surf the internet."
Due to the internet being the new sensation to teens and millennials alike, telecom companies started to be competitive with their pricing and marketing strategies. Though, just those alone aren't enough to satisfy the customer's demands. Some, if not everyone needed a high-speed internet nowadays, and it looked like companies couldn't provide that as they will lose a lot of profits.
How it all came about is when Vince saw the router placed at the counter. It didn't seem like a router people would usually see in the market, so Vince dug deeper into the router. Not only did the router looked weird, it looked like it didn't belong to their timeline at all. Although the antenna looked to be the size of a needle, it could still deliver the best signal to the user.
What was more thought-provoking was the router frequency. 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz were the most known frequency in their timeline as they could provide more coverage but at the same time could transmit data at faster speeds. When he checked what frequency the router was in his wifi settings, it was set as 'Unknown'. Their gaming equipment could wait a few more days as they were still usable, but their internet connection needed more attention.
In the year where Apollo bought the router, telecom companies found the Universal Frequency. Unlike 2.4 Ghz which could only provide better coverage but lower speeds, and 5 Ghz which could only provide faster speeds and less coverage, the universal frequency does it all. It could provide faster speeds without sacrifiing the network coverage of the router.
"Hm," Vince's idea of making a router got Elizabeth interested, "Elaborate."
Although Elizabeth's reply was cold, Vince wasn't dissatisfied at all, in fact, he was even excited. "The item in question would only need two parts, the router, and a sim. How it would all work is we first need to build a cell tower, and sim cards to put into the router. We would maybe be spending over our budget, but think of it as an investment. Once people take notice of our product, we would only see profits."
"Why don't we just do a cooperation with a telecom company?" Elizabeth asked.
Vince sighed, "The reason I wanted to invest in your company is so that we wouldn't be relying on telecom companies. Have you ever seen an internet ad? They boast about how fast their speeds are, but because of their overgrowing subscribers, the internet they provide couldn't catch up to people's demands."
After thinking it through, Elizabeth agreed, "So, do you know anyone that could go indepth in explaining routers?"
Vince almost spit out his drink, "You should ask your boss," Vince turned his head at an angle where he could see the counter, and then said faintly, "He seems to have knowledge about routers, a terrifying amount of knowledge."
...
After there were no customers left in the restaurant, Elizabeth walked towards the counter where Apollo began putting the ply-wood to cover the counter. Apollo noticed Elizabeth's presence but chose to ignore her in hopes that she would somehow leave. He wasn't close to the end of [Heroes and Fate] but the S rank mission he received needed to be completed. If he doesn't complete it, he would lose all of his progress and that includes his levels and skills in the game.
Just when he was about to run towards the basement, Elizabeth let out an almost inaudible sentence, "Boss... you know about routers right?"
"I don't, but someone I know does. Do you want your company's first product to be a router?" Although he was hesitant, Apollo still replied. His curiosity about the reward he will get for completing his main mission to rule the world has subsided, but it wouldn't hurt to see what rewards he will get.
Elizabeth brightened up when he heard Apollo' s response, "Can he do specific requests?"
"I guess." Since he could buy anything from the Atlas, it wasn't a lie if he said that he could request something specific.
"Perfect!" Elizabeth exclaimed. She took the laptop she got, opened a file document and showed it to Apollo. "Do you think he could build a router like this?"
The topic of routers is foreign to Elizabeth, but she tried her best to research and get a little more knowledge about not only routers, but technology as a whole. It would be more accurate to call her a Study Freak by this point.
Apollo only took a glance at it and nodded. The device Elizabeth requested isn't all that complicated, in fact, Apollo could even upgrade it to a whole new level without the use of Atlas.
"How many routers do you need?" He could get ahold of these types of devices without even spending one point in the system store.
Elizabeth did a 'thinking' pose for a little bit, revealing a beautiful scenery of a goddess under the moonlight, "We need to see the test product first before we finalize on how many stocks we need."
Apollo merely nodded and finished placing the last ply-wood on the counter, and closed the door. [Heroes of Fate] could wait, for now, he was pretty excited to test the new energy he recently found on earth and test it on the router. The new energy is called 'Crosesia', and it was similar to Qi used for cultivation, but Crosesia isn't energy used for cultivation. In short, Crosesia is similar to radio frequencies usually found on cell towers.
He wanted the routers to be self-sufficient and not rely on cell towers. Apollo bought a few routers from Atlas and opened them up. What he wanted to make is an array, a Crosesia Gathering Array. Building such an array is not only easy, but it also wouldn't waste his time.
The purpose of the Crosesia Gathering Array is simple, it would gather radio frequencies from all over the world into one place, the router.
Of course, building an array inside the router would have consequences, one of those problems being the radio frequency being too concentrated in one place that it becomes harmful to humans. Though, he already solved that problem when he was just heading towards the basement to do this task. The way Apollo solved it is he placed a small array that would not only balance the radio frequency, but also make it so that it wouldn't spread around the room, and just concentrate on the devices connected to the router.
The downside to that is people would need to be close to the router in order to connect to the device, but that is only a small sacrifice, and sacrifices are inevitable. Of course, that just applies to that product alone. If Apollo wanted to, he could remove all of its flaws and make it the 'Perfect' router so to speak. While on the process of upgrading the router, Apollo also bought dozens of sims and a program to go along with it.
