"Happy Birthday, buddy! Here take your present" said Aiden handing him over the package.
"Omg! GIFTS!!" Dan was excited.
"Aiden chose them for you Dan. Open up!"
He hastily opened the nicely packed sword and watch. I was way too confused about Aiden's choice. Why would a 15 year old like a sword as a present and that too in this generation? It is so violent? Who gifts violent weapons on someone's birthday? He might kill us with that after he sees it.
Aiden will be so dead if Dan doesn't like it.
I was biting my nails nervously as Dan opened the gifts. First he saw the watch.
He was so happy and excited, he immediately wore it and he screamed yayy as he saw it.
Then was the turn of the sword.
The shining sword made his eyes twinkle. I saw such happiness in his eyes that I had never seen on anybody. He just silently touched the sword for 5 mins straight then looked at me. I saw his eyes water.
"I will avenge my parents death with this weapon sister." He whispered in my ear so that Aiden doesn't hear it.
" You have no idea how much I craved for this. It is so precious for me. It is just what I needed. I am so thankful to both of you." he said as he hugged Aiden in a warm embrace tightly showing his gratitude.
Aiden hugged him back.
It was so mesmerising to watch this scene I can't describe in words. It felt so good to see them hugging.
They had met for the first time and it felt like they were long separated brothers who had reunited now.
"Okay, now I am jealous. Guys! I'm here too." I said.
"Oh so you want me to hug you? Aiden asked with a smirk.
"Shut up! I was talking about Dan, not you, you piece of shit!"
"Aww such a cute couple!" Dan interrupted
"Hell naww!! Dan, I share the flat with him. We are not even good friends." I immediately tried to clear the doubt away.
"Oh baby you don't need to lie infront of him. He is a grown up. He won't judge you for living with your boyfriend". Aiden teased with quite convincing tone.
"What is going on?" Dan was confused now.
"Dan! Don't listen to him. He's just kidding. I swear we are not a thing." I tried to explain as Aiden sniggered.
The party was fun.
Dan was throughout after my life to marry Aiden which made me cringe.
Me and Dan had a quiet time away from the crowd where we discussed about his progress.
He told me he had learned a lot of stuff here. He's been studying and his uncle has been training him to manage the company he will be inheriting.
He has learned many kinds of fighting techniques.
I could see a lot of physical change in him too. He was stronger and taller now. He looked so much smarter and wiser than before. No one could tell he was homeless little boy when I found him.
I am so proud of him.
Soon it was time to go back home.
I said goodbye to Dan which was always the hardest thing to do and we moved in Aiden's car.
I looked at my phone which I had left in the car.

"Yeah, Tracey called. She told he came home looking for you. She told him we went to your brother's place.
She said he went red as a tomato and stomped off the gate." said Aiden.
"O-Oh. He gets angry for no reason. I have to persuade him now." I said, telling myself aloud.
"No reason? I don't think so? We have a chemistry. He knows it. He gets jealous." Aiden said.
"Not funny, Aiden. We have no chemistry. And I will ask him to understand we can never be a thing.
I see Aiden's face drop a little and he shifted his gaze towards the road and saw a deer crossing the road right i front of the car.
He swayed his one arm to press me towards the seat and making a strong belt around me while he tried to save the deer and the car. But the car banged to a tree nearby. The car stopped with a jerk.
I was sitting there unharmed while Aiden had cuts in his arm and face.
